Mushka & Tzemach

Tuesday, July 2, 2024 • Brooklyn, NY

Where will the wedding be held?

The wedding will take place at the Oholei Torah Ballroom located at 667 Eastern Parkway. The Chupah ceremony will be held at 770 Eastern Parkway, across the street and one block to the east of the venue.

Why is the Chupah outside of 770?

The reception, dinner, and dancing will be held in a hall, but Mushka and Tzemach have opted to hold their Chupa ceremony outside of 770 Eastern Parkway, the center of the Chabad Lubavitch movement.

"770" serves as the Rebbe's Beis Midrash and office, as well as the Yeshiva where Tzemach is currently studying. The decision to host the Chupa ceremony there reflects the couple's commitment to Torah study and their aspiration to spread the joy of Judaism. Since the location is actively used during the wedding, the atmosphere may feel somewhat informal, with seated guests and others gathering around to join in the celebration, including passersby.

Can you share attire recommendations?

Semi-Formal attire is recommended. Both men and women are encouraged to cover their shoulders and opt for attire that falls below the knee. For women, dresses or skirts are preferred. For gentlemen, kipas will be provided but feel free to bring your own. Comfortable shoes or a spare pair are suggested so you can dance the night away with Tzemach, Mushka and the families.

How can I get to the wedding?

You can drive to Brooklyn and find on-street parking, or you can take the #3 train to Kingston Ave. The Chupah will be right outside the station, the hall is one block to the west.

Can we tour Crown Heights before the wedding?

Certainly! If some guests are interested, we can arrange a special tour of Crown Heights. Stay tuned for more details.

At the meal...

During the wedding reception, there will be separate seating for men and women This is traditional with Yeshiva and seminary students and graduates who will be attending and feel the most comfortable celebrating and dancing single gender.

Generally...

Going to a Chasidic wedding is special, with lots of traditions and happiness. If it's your first Chasidic wedding, Chabad.org has a helpful article to guide you through the experience.

Can I come for parts of the wedding?

Yes! We understand that with a wedding on a Tuesday evening, many may be coming from work or other obligations. On your RSVP, you can indicate what parts of the wedding you can join for. It is very common in the community for people to drop by just for the open buffet / dessert and some dancing.
