Xiomara and Syed first, knowingly, crossed paths one October 25th at a mutual friend's Halloween party. Their interaction included playing beer pong together (until Xiomara walked off without a word) and a brief dance at the end of the night. They went their separate ways and didn’t cross paths again until March of 2020. Right before the pandemic was about to happen, Xiomara slid into Syed’s instagram DMs. Let it be known that Syed had previously slid into her dms but nothing came out of it–she was not the first one to make a move though, right??

Anyway, four years and a brief break later, and now we’re here! Happily engaged and so in love.

Though they both mark October 25th as the first time they ever interacted with each other, there were many instances years before then, when they were in such close proximity. They came into each other's lives when they were both ready. Isn’t it just so pretty to think all along there was some invisible string tying them to each other?
