If you would like to enjoy a scenic view, the Coronado Ferry is docked 10 minutes away from the airport using public transportation. It is available daily and cost $9 per one-way ticket. Visit https://coronadoferrylanding.com/ferry-info/ to purchase tickets.

Airbnb and other short-term rental sites are also a great options! Ensure to make your reservation in advance as most California cities often limit the number of short-term rentals allowed and they book fast in the summer. We recommend booking in Coronado or Imperial Beach.
There are also numerous amounts of other great hotels off the island. There are multiple routes to get to the island such as: taking an $8 boat ferry, by land bridge called Silver Strand off Imperial Beach, by the Coronado Bridge connecting downtown San Diego, and by air using a military jet if you have one.
