Our Wedding

Our Story: Yasi adopted Puma on beginning of July 2016 and proceeded to take him to college and later to Syracuse for work in August 2019. Matt moved to Rome, NY in January 2021 for work. We first met&nbsp;on Bumble and started talking on April 1 2021. Yasi started the conversation with the question: “Describe yourself in 3 words”. Matt responded with “Surprisingly efficient laziness". Our first date was on April 3 2021 at Green Lakes State Park near Syracuse, NY. We ended our date with dinner at Moe's Mexican Restaurant. We had our first kiss on our second date at the movies. Our first major obstacle was when we both caught COVID in January 2022. We made it through two weeks of illness together taking care of each other. We traveled together to Disney World for our first anniversary. At the French restaurant in EPCOT, Matt asked Yasi to move in with him. Matt first asked Yasi to repeat the very first question she had asked him, “Describe yourself in 3 words”. After she did so, Matt responded stating he had a new answer, “your new roommate”. Yasi moved to Rome in late April 2022 and started working at the Rome VCA where she met Jess. Yasi and Matt adopted Andromeda before Thanksgiving 2022. Yasi and Matt moved to Minneapolis on 12/27/2024. Matt proposed to Yasi at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden on 5/10/2025. Matt once again asked Yasi to repeat the very first question she had asked him. This time Matt got on one knee and stated he again a new answer, "Your future husband".

It is a free activity that is open year round! You get to explore a variety of exotic plants in the temperature controlled conservatory, and you also get to explore the small zoo that is on site housing a variety of animals. It's a great activity for all ages!

This is an amazing zoo to visit with a variety of animal species. There are many "trails" that you can explore, including one that is specifically for animal species that are native to Minnesota State. **Tickets need to be purchased online, and there is also the charge of a parking pass per vehicle.

If you are looking for something that is located inside, try the Minnesota Institute of Art (Mia). It has a large variety of art from six continents spanning over 5,000 years of history. Free admission
