Our Wedding

Our Story Yasi and Jordan first met as nurses working at Texas Children’s Hospital. Originally, Yasi worked the night shift and Jordan the day shift. Eventually, Yasi began working during the day shift as well. Jordan never really noticed Yasi before her move. It wasn’t until one fateful day when they shared a desk that Jordan first took notice of Yasi. He first noticed her adorable accent and then her beautiful doe eyes. Not only was Yasi easy on the eyes, but she was also incredibly warm and easy to talk to. Jordan discovered that Yasi had such an intriguing life; it was exotic and nothing like his other colleagues. Yasi was also funny, which made for even better conversation, as Jordan always appreciated a good laugh. When Jordan returned home that evening, he was smitten and couldn’t stop thinking about Yasi. Jordan was not alone in his feelings. Somehow, he did just enough to charm her, and she thought he was also easy on the eyes as well. &nbsp;Much to Jordan’s excitement, they worked together again the following day. Their long day eased by with playful banter and scored by flirtation undertones. &nbsp;Jordan had a hunch that Yasi was equally interested in him and chalked up the courage to ask her for a date that evening after work. They went to Jordan’s favorite Tex-Mex restaurant, El Tiempo Cantina, for their first date. They couldn’t have asked for a better first date. From that day forward, they regularly texted, went out of the way to see each other at work, and went on several more dates. Soon, they circled back to that favorite restaurant of Jordans, where they had shared their first date. As they stared into each other’s eyes from across the table, Jordan stood up, leaned across the table, and kissed Yasi. It was at that moment they realized this was more than merely a casual fling. Yasi and Jordan continued to strengthen their bond and traveled together frequently. Jordan was a novice traveler, so Yasi had to nudge him along at first. Over the next three years, they traveled to Zihuatanejo (Mexico), Banff (Canada), Los Angeles (California), Switzerland, and Cancun (Mexico). In November of 2023, they returned to Mexico again to celebrate Día De Los Muertos in Mexico City. During the last trip, Jordan took a knee on the balcony of a beautiful castle overlooking the city and asked Yasi to spend the rest of her life with him. Yasi snatched up the ring from the box before Jordan had a chance to utter the words, “Will you marry me?”. Jordan laughed and took the ring back for a quick do-over, and then they sealed the proposal with a kiss. Yasi and Jordan could not be more excited to spend the rest of their lives waking up next to each other and making many new memories. They are incredibly thankful for the opportunity to share their vows of matrimony in front of the friends and family they love most dearly on January the 2nd 2025.
