We found love during The Great Pandemic. Yasmine was frequently on Instagram, and finally worked up the courage to DM Ahmed. After some chatting back and forth, we went on four dates later that summer, and officially entered a relationship in September 2020.

We were legally married and performed our nikaah ceremony in May 2022. We kept the ceremony small because of ongoing Covid concerns, and so that Yasmine could focus on finishing her PhD. We are so excited to come back to Durham and finally celebrate our marriage with all of our loved ones!
