It all started in eighth grade—when the popular boy met the shy new girl. He was outgoing, confident, and… my bully (yes, really). I was quiet, just trying to fit in, and he made sure I noticed him—whether I wanted to or not. Who would’ve guessed that the boy who threw a football at me would one day become the love of my life? He also happened to be my very first kiss and, eventually, my very first boyfriend. Our first date was on the Fourth of July in 2015, watching fireworks together at South Mountain. From that moment on, our story started to unfold in the most unexpected and unforgettable ways. When the world slowed down in 2020, we sped up. I started moving my clothes into his closet little by little—until one day, he realized he had no space left. That was the unofficial start of us living together, and shortly after, we made it official with our very first apartment. Then came our two dog children—chaotic, loud, messy, but absolutely perfect. We’ve shared countless memories: road-tripping across the country from Tennessee to Arizona, building a home full of laughter (and fur), and growing not just older together, but up together. And then, one quiet night in our kitchen, while talking about our future—especially his upcoming heart surgery—he got down on one knee. No fanfare, no crowd—just us, in the heart of the home we made together. And I said yes to forever. We’ve been through so much, teaching each other, loving each other, learning how to be us. I would live this life with him a thousand times over, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

She’s more than a best friend; she’s like a sister, and Yasmine couldn’t imagine this journey without her by her side.

Adam and Jarrell first crossed paths in high school, where Adam took on the role of a mentor. Over the years, that mentorship grew into a strong and lasting friendship. With his steady presence, wisdom, and unwavering support, Adam has been a constant through life’s ups and downs. It’s only fitting he stands by the Jarrell’s side on this special day.

Jarrell met Chance through a mutual friend, and from day one, it just clicked. Whether it was random late-night calls, spontaneous hangouts, or just being down for whatever, Chance has always shown up without hesitation. His steady, calm energy has been the perfect match for Jarrell’s laid-back vibe, and their friendship has only grown stronger over the years. Being named the godfather of Chance’s child was one of the biggest honors of his life—and a true sign of the brotherhood they’ve built.

Beneath that quiet exterior is a loyal protector who always shows up when it matters most. As Jarrell’s brother, he’s been a constant source of strength, sarcasm, and subtle chaos.

Jarrell met Gabriel back in elementary school, and from day one, it was all about laughing, joking, and just being boys. Over the years, that childhood friendship grew into something deeper—more like brotherhood. Through every stage of life, Gabriel has been there, and having him stand beside Jarrell is a reminder of just how far they’ve come together.
