Our Wedding

Our Story

Yassine and Jessica met in Mersin, Turkey for the first time in 2018 in the summer while Jessica was visiting with a short term team. After Jessica moved to Mersin in the fall of that year they got to know each other while serving on the same team. Both developed feelings for each other but didn't think anything could happen so let it go. In the spring of 2019 during a 24 hour train ride to a city in the east of Turkey for an outreach trip things started to happen. After long hours of getting to share stories Yassine finally told Jessica of his feelings and they began their friendship. During the next few months they dated in Mersin and enjoyed long walks by the seaside and swimming in the pool. Then in the fall Yassine headed off to Egypt to do his DTS. Long distance wasn't easy but after three months they were reunited in Hatay Turkey where Yassine did his DTS outreach . After Yassine completed his DTS he moved back to Mersin and it wasn't long before the Covid-19 Pandemic hit. A season of the unknown started and they had to take a challenging faith journey to be able to step into the next season of getting married. On May 29th Yassine asked Jessica to marry him at the seaside with a beautiful candlelit dinner with home made Chinese food. They celebrated that weekend with their whole team. Now almost a year later Yassine and Jessica are finally married. After a year of obstacles of facing residency cards ending, borders being closed, and applying for visas they are finally able to have their Miracle wedding on the farm in Holland.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions we know many of you cannot actually be present at our wedding but we would love for you to be apart of it via the web-stream.
