Our Wedding

Narrated by Fana Ogeto A Love Rooted in Prayer and Purpose It all began in the Anointed Word of God Church (AWGC), a place where the presence of God is evident and where the Most High is worshipped. This is a church where the presence of the Holy Spirit is present, where prayer, worship, preaching, and spiritual services are held. This is where their life story began. Yabets, a gifted musician and a servant at heart, always arrived at church early. You’d find him prepping the stage, adjusting instruments, and rehearsing with the day's assigned singer, setting the tone for worship. On the other side, Yordanos was devoted and rooted in prayer, faithfully attending the morning prayer service from 10 to 11 a.m., just before the main service. She came not knowing that God was quietly orchestrating something beautiful behind the scenes. &nbsp;Week by week, their paths crossed, sharing the same space, the same heart for God. 🕊️One unforgettable moment during a special New Year program in 2023. The atmosphere in the church was heavy with the Holy Spirit. After worship, when Yordanos stepped up to read a poem, Yabets felt as if he had known her before. It was a whisper from God: “She is the one.” In that instant, Yabets felt a connection. It wasn’t just her voice; it was the peace, the grace, the anointing. A seed was planted and an understanding that, one day, she would be his wife.&nbsp; That seed gently began to unfold over a shared lunch with Pastor Miki, Geni (Yordy’s sister), and Yabets. There was laughter &amp; light conversation. It seemed like just a simple lunch. But sometimes, God moves in the most ordinary moments to begin something extraordinary. A little while later, Yabets gently asked for Yordy’s number and invited her to dinner. He meant it sincerely, but life kept getting in the way. His schedule was packed with church commitments, work, and responsibilities. Dinner plans got postponed… then postponed again. They finally met in September 2023. During their first dinner, they spoke about life, faith, and purpose. Later, Jabez felt that Yordy seemed to be in a hurry, eager to leave. But in truth, she hadn’t felt rushed at all. To her, the evening had been meaningful and unhurried marked by connection and a sincere smile. However, life once again led them in different directions. Months passed. Seasons changed. Then, almost a year later, Yabets reached out again, this time with more thoughtfulness. He invited her to Pastor Hanfere’s Appreciation Day, knowing that Lili, her favorite gospel singer, would be there. Though she couldn’t attend, the invitation opened the door once again to what God had already begun in his heart. Fast forward to November 2024, and they had dinner. At this time, it was different. There was joy, comfort, a sense of alignment, like a soft “yes” in both their spirits. Feeling the weight of what was growing, they both agreed it was time to seek God together. For three days, from Friday to Sunday, they fasted and prayed, asking God not just for clarity, but for His will. &nbsp;On that 3rd day, they met in person, holding hands with each other, and prayed, anchoring everything in the truth of Ecclesiastes 3:14 “I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will fear him.”They invited the Holy Spirit to be the third strand in their friendship, From that day on, prayer became their rhythm.Between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m., they prayed together, read the Word over the phone, and grew spiritually and relationally.Though life’s demands sometimes interrupted the routine, the heart behind it never faded. On February 14, 2025, they took a quiet trip for 2 days, about three hours from Columbia, MD to Calvary Campground in Ashland, Virginia. To pray.To seek God with no distractions. To break off anything holding them back and to invite something new in. Calvary Campground is a place soaked in years of worship, prayer, and revival fire. When you step onto the grounds, you will realize that the glory of God is there. The daily program was taking place in the area of ​​worship that those days. They cried out to God. Tears flowed. Chains broke. Peace came rushing in like a river. They didn’t leave the same. They left lighter, anchored, and closer to God and each other. It wasn’t just a trip. The kind they remember for the rest of their life. This is the path they "WALKED IN", by breakthrough, by faith, by victory, by covenant, by a heavenly voice. God spoke to their hearts. This became a divine sign in their lives. If you’ve ever needed a place to get away from life’s noise, if your heart’s been tired or your spirit hungry for something more, if you’ve been trying to hear God clearly but distractions keep getting in the way, go there. Make room for God to speak, to heal, to begin something new. Whether it’s for a personal breakthrough, a fresh beginning, or just resting for your soul, Calvary Campground is a place worth going to. Those two days of prayer sealed something.They brought clarity where there had been questions.They brought unity where there had been long waiting.And they confirmed in both their hearts what God had been speaking all along. From that point forward, their steps were taken by great faithNot rushed, but reassured. Not searching, but anchored.All glory to the Lord Most High, the One who turned their prayers into divine planning &amp; purpose , their waiting into preparation. May the name of our God and Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, be glorified forever and ever. Amen!!! One thing became clear. God’s timing is always perfect!!!. On August 30, 2025, before God, family, and friends, Yordanos and Yabets will stand hand in hand and say, “I do.” This celebration is about honoring God through worship, praise, and gratitude as a testament to His divine plan. Ecclesiastes 3:11He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. It is a loving unity that began in the house of God, founded on prayer to glorify God, grow, and flourish.

Our Story

ትርጉም&nbsp;፡ ሽልማት ተሰማ &nbsp;በጸሎት እና በዓላማ ላይ የተመሰረተ ፍቅር&nbsp; ተራኪ ፋና ተክሌ&nbsp; ጅማሬው የእግዚአብሔር መገኘት በሙላት በሚታይበት ልዑሉ በሚመለክበት ህብረቷ ጠንካራ በሆነባት የተቀባ የእግዚአብሔር ቃል ቤተክርስቲያን (AWGC) ውስጥ ነበር። ይህች ቤተ ክርስቲያን የመንፈስ ቅዱስ መገኘት ያለባት፣ ጸሎት፣ አምልኮ፣ ስብከት፣ መንፈሳዊ አገልግሎት የሚካሄድባት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ናት።&nbsp;በዚህ ስፍራ የህይወት ታሪካቸው ጀመረ፡፡&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;ያቤፅ ተሰጥኦ ያለው ሙዚቀኛ ሲሆን ከልቡ እግዚአብሔርን የሚያገለግል ሁል ጊዜ ቀድሞ በቤተክርስቲያን በመገኘት መድረኩን በማዘጋጀት፣ የሙዚቃ መሳሪያዎችን በማስተካከል በእለቱ ከሚያገለግሉን ዘማሪዎች ጋር መዝሙሮችን እየተለማመደ ሙዚቃን በመቃኘት በአገልግሎቱ ላይ የሚያተኩር የተሰጠ አገልጋይ ነው፡፡&nbsp; በሌላ በኩል ዮርዳኖስ በእግዚአብሔር ቤት መገኘት አለሟ የሆነ፤ ጌታን የምትወድ የሷ አለም ደስታና የነፍሷ እርካታ ያለው ፀሎቷ ጋር የሆነ የምትወደድ ልጅ ናት፤ በቤተክርስቲያን ውስጥ ፀሎት በመምራት የምታገለግል፤ ከዋናው ፕሮግራም በፊት የጠዋቱን የጸሎት አገልግሎት በታማኝነት ትከታተል ነበር በዚህ ሁሉ ውስጥ ግን እግዚአብሔር ለሰው በማይታይ መልኩ አንድ አስገራሚ እና ውብ ነገር እያቀናበረ መሆኑን በፍፁም አታውቅም ነበር፡፡ በአንድ አይነት ስፍራ፣ በአንድ ልብ እና በአንድ መንፈስ እግዚአብሔርን እያመለኩ ሳምንታቶች ነጎዱ &nbsp;በ2023 የአዲስ አመት የቤተክርስቲያን ፐሮግራም ላይ አንድ የማይረሳ አጋጣሚ ተፈጠረ። መንፍስ ቅዱስ በሞላብት በዚያ የቤተክርስቲያን አዳራሸ ከአምልኮ በኋላ ዮርዳኖስ ግጥም ለማንበብ ወደ መድረኩ ወጣች በዚያም ጊዜ ያቤፅ ከዚህ በፊት ያውቃት የነበረ ሰው አይነት ስሜት ተሰማው በምታነብበት ጊዜ የእሷ ድምፅ ብቻ አልነበረም፤ ሰላም ነበረ፣ ጸጋ ነበረ፣ ቅባት ነበረ ይቺ ሴት ያንተ ነች የሚል አይነት ድምፅ በአይምሮ ውስጥ አቃጨለ። በዛም ቅፅበት ያቤፅ ልብ ውስጥ ዘር ተዘራ አንድ ቀን ሚስቱ እንደምትሆን የሚያስረዳ።&nbsp; ይሄም ዘር አንድ እሁድ ከአገልግሎት በኋላ ፣ ከፓስተር ሚኪ፣ ከገኒ (የዮርዳኖስ እህት) እና ከያቤፅ ጋር በተደረገ የምሳ ግብዣ ላይ ብቅ ማለት ጀመረ። ቀለል ያለ ሳቅ እና ጨዋታ የተሞላበት ደስ የሚል ጊዜ ነበር። አንዳንድ ጊዜ እግዚአብሔር በጣም የተለመዱ ሁኔታዎች ውስጥ ድንቅ ነገሮችን ለመጀመር ይንቀሳቀሳል።&nbsp; ከጥቂት ጊዜ በኋላም ያቤፅ የዮርዳኖስን ስልክ ቁጥር ጠየቀ እና ለእራት ግብዣ ቀጠራት፤ ነገር ግን በተለያዩ መንፈሳዊ አገልግሎቶች፣በስራ እና ሌሎች ጉዳዮች ምክንያት የእራት ቀጠሮው በተደጋጋሚ ተላለፈ።&nbsp; በመጨረሻም ሴፕቴምበር 2023 ተገናኙ። በመጀመሪያው የእራት ቀጠሯቸው ስለሕይወት ፣ ስለእምነት ፣ እና ስለዓላማ ሁሉንም ተጨዋወቱ ። በኋላ ያቤፅ ዮርዳኖስ የቸኮለች መሰለውና በፍጥነት ለመውጣት የፈለግሽ ትመሲያለሽ አላት። እውነቱን ለመናገር እሷ ምንም የችኮላ ስሜት አልነበራትም። ይልቁንም ትክክለኛ እና በቂ ጊዜ ፈገግታ የተሞላበት ቅንነት የታየበት ጥልቅ ስሜት የነበረበት መልካም እና በቂ ቆይታ እንደነበራት ነው የተሰማት፡፡ &nbsp;ከዚያ በኋላ ሁለቱም በተለያየ የህይወት መስመር ተጓዙ ወራቶች አለፉ ወቅቶች ተለዋወጡ ከአንድ አመት ገደማ በኋላ፣ ያቤፅ በድጋሚ ዮርዳኖስን በፓስተር ሀንፍሬ የምስጋናና የአድናቆት ስርአት ላይ ተወዳጅዋ ዘማሪ ሊሊ እንደምታገለግል ነግሮዋት ፕሮግራሙ ላይ እንድትገኝ ቢጋብዛትም መገኘት አልቻለችም። ነገር ግን አጋጣሚው እግዚያብሔር በልባቸው የጀመረውን ሃሳብ የሚያስቀጥልብትን ሌላ እድል እንደገና ከፈተ።&nbsp; ብዙም ሳይቆዩ በኖቬምበር 2024 እራት ጋበዛት፤ ይሄኛው ጊዜ ከባለፈው ከፍ ያለ የተለየ ድባብ የነበረው፤ ደስታ፣&nbsp;እና ጥልቅ ስሜት የነበረው መሆኑን ሁለቱም በመንፈሳቸው ሰላም አውቀዉታል፣ አዎ ደስ የሚል በልብ ውስጥ የሚፈስ ሰላም ነበረው፤ ዓላማውን ያገኘ ትክክለኛ የህይወት ጉዞ ተሰምቷቸዋል ። ግንኙነቱ እያደገ መሆኑ ስለገባቸው ሁለቱም ተስማምተው በአንድ ላይ እግዚአብሔርን ለመፈለግ ጊዜው አሁን እንደሆነ ስላወቁ እግዚአብሔር ማረጋገጫ እና አቅጣጫ እንዲሰጣቸው በህብረት መፀለይ ጀመሩ ለሦስት ተከታታይ ቀናት፣ ከአርብ እስከ እሁድ፣ ፆም እና ፀሎት ጀመሩ ስለ ግንኙነታቸው ብቻ ሳይሆን መልካም የሆነውን ፈቃዱን ለማወቅ&nbsp;መፀለያቸውን ቀጠሉ፡፡ &nbsp;በመጨረሻዋ ቀን ማለትም እሁድ በሶስተኛው ቀን በአካል ተገናኝተው እርስ በርሳቸው እጅ ለእጅ ተያይዘው ጸለዩ፥&nbsp; መክብብ 3:14 "እግዚአብሔር ያደረገው ሁሉ ለዘላለም እንዲኖር አወቅሁ፤ ሊጨመርበት ወይም ከእርሱ ሊጐድል አይቻልም፤ እግዚአብሔርም በፊቱ ይፈሩ ዘንድ አደረገ።" መንፈስ ቅዱስ በጓደኝነታቸው መካከል ሦስተኛው ገመድ እንዲሆን ጋበዙት።&nbsp; ከዚያም ጊዜ ጀምሮ የጋራ ጸሎት የተለመደ ሆነ። ከንጋቱ 3 እስከ 5 ባለው ሰአት መካከል በጋራ በስልክ ይጸልያሉ፣ ቃሉን ያነባሉ፣ በዚህም በመንፈሳዊውም በግኑኘነታቸውም ማደግ ሆነ። ምንም እንኳን አንዳንድ ጊዜ በሥራ እና ህይወት የፀሎት ልምዳቸውን ቢስተጓጎልም የልብ ፍላጎታቸው ግን ጠንካራ ነው :: በፌብርዋሪ 14,2025 ለሁለት ቀን የሚሆን ጊዜን ለማሳለፍ ከColumbia, MD ለሶስት ሰአታት ያክል በመንዳት ወደ Calvary Campground in Ashland, Virginia አመሩ። ትኩረትን ሰብስቦ የሚያስተጓጉል ነገር ሳይኖር&nbsp;ለመጸለይ፣እግዚአብሔርን ለመፈለግ እና ወደኋላ የሚጎትትን ነገር ለመስበር አዲስን ነገር ወደ ህይወታቸው ለመጋበዝ ነበር።&nbsp; Calvary Campground (የቀራኒዮ ካምፕ)&nbsp;ለዓመታት በአምልኮ፣ በጸሎት፣ የተለያዩ መንፈሳዊ ኪሩሴዶች&nbsp;የሚካሄድበት እና የመንፈስ ቅዱስ እሳት የሞላበት ቦታ ነው። ወደ ግቢው ሲገባ&nbsp;የእግዚአብሄር ክብር&nbsp;በዚያ&nbsp;ስፍራ እንዳለ ታስተውላላችሁ፡፡ በዚያን እለት የእለቱ ፕሮግራም እየተካሄደ ነበር፡፡&nbsp;እነርሱም ወደ አምልኮው ስፍራ ገብተው በእግዚአብሄር ፊት ጮሁ፣ ጸለዩ ፣ተግዳሮት&nbsp;ተሰበረ ፣ አመለኩ ፣ መልካምንም&nbsp;ጊዜ በዚያን ስፍራ እግዚአብሄር ሰጣቸው ፣ ሰላምም በውስጣቸው እንደ ወንዝ ፈሰሰ፡፡ &nbsp;ነገሮች እንደቀድሞው አልነበሩም፣ ቀለላቸው፣ ወደ እግዚአብሔርም እርስ በርሳቸውም&nbsp;በይበልጥ ተቀራረቡ፡፡ይህም ጥሶ በመውጣት፣ በእምነት፣ በድል ፣ በኪዳን ፣በሰማያዊ በሆነ ድምፅ "የገቡበት" መንገድ ነው ። እግዚአብሔር ለልባቸው ተናገረ። ይህም በሕይወታቸው ውስጥ መለኮታዊ ምልክት ሆነ፡፡ ትኩረትን ከሚከፋፍሉ ከህይወት ጫጫታ ለጥቂት ጊዜ ለመራቅ፣መንፈሳዊ የጥሞና ጊዜ ለማሳለፍ ጥማት ወይም&nbsp;ረሃብ ካለህ እንዲሁም የህይወት አቅጣጫዎችን ለመቅበል&nbsp;በአንድ ልብ እና ሃሳብ ለጥቂት ጊዜ ለመቆየት&nbsp;እጅግ በጣም መልካም የሆነ ስፍራ ነው፡፡ ለህይወት ፈውስ ፣ አዲስ ነገር ለመጀመር ፣ የህወትን መንገድ ለማወቅ&nbsp;በጥሞና፣ ትኩረትን እና&nbsp;ሃሳብን&nbsp;ሰብስቦ በእግዚአብሄር ፊት በመሆን የእግዚአብሔር&nbsp;ድምጽ ለመስማት Calvary Campground (የቀራኒዮ ካምፕ)በጣም የተመቻቸ ቦታ ነው። እነዚያ ሁለት የጸሎት ቀናት ፦ ጥያቄዎች በነበራቸው ሁኔታ ላይ መልስን ። ርቀት የነበረበት ሁኔታ ላይ አንድነትን አመጣ።የእግዚአብሔርም ፍቃድ&nbsp;ሁሉ በልባቸው አረጋገጡ። ይህም በእግዚአብሄር የታቀደ እና የተጀመረ የፍቅር ታሪክ ሆነ ። ከዚያ ጊዜ ጀምሮ ፣እርምጃቸው ታላቅ&nbsp;እምነት የተሞላበት ሆነ። በችኮላ ሳይሆን&nbsp;በእርጋታ። በፍለጋ ሳይሆን መልህቅ በመሆን። ጸሎታቸው ወደ ታላቅ መለኮታዊ እቅድ እና አላማ ፣ መጠባበቃቸውም&nbsp;ወደ አንድነት እና መዘጋጀት የለወጠ አምላክ እና አባታችን ጌታ እየሱስ ክርስቶስ ስሙ ከዘላለም እስከ ዘላለም ይክበር አሜን!!!።&nbsp; የእግዚአብሔር ጊዜ ሁልም&nbsp;ትክክል ነው!!! እናማ በኦገስት 30 2025 ዮርዳኖስ እና ያቤፅ በእግዚአብሔር ፣ በቤተሰቦቻቸው እና በጓደኞቻቸው ፊት ቆመው እጅ ለእጅ ተያይዘው ቃልኪዳን ይገባሉ።&nbsp; ይህም ቀን&nbsp;መልካም ያደረገልልን&nbsp;እግዚአብሔርን በአምልኮ፣ በምስጋና የምናመሰግንበት ቀን&nbsp;ይሆናል።&nbsp; መክብብ 3:11ነገርን ሁሉ በጊዜው ውብ አድርጎ ሠራው፤ እግዚአብሔርም ከጥንት ጀምሮ እስከ ፍጻሜ ድረስ የሠራውን ሥራ ሰው መርምሮ እንዳያገኝ ዘላለምነትን በልቡ ሰጠው። በእግዚአብሔር ቤት የተጀመረ፣ በጸሎት የተመሠረተ፣ ለእግዚአብሔር ምስጋና ለማምጣት፣ ለማደግ፣ እና ለማመጨመር&nbsp;የተዘጋጀ የፍቅር አንድነት ሆነ።

Yordy Ogeto

I met Metaye through my beloved fiance. From our very first conversation, there was a natural and instant connection as if I had known her for a long time. Her presence carries a Godly spirit.
Metaye is wise, caring, and spiritually grounded. Every time we spoke, I felt her genuine love and spiritual encouragement. IF YOU SEE BEAUTY IN THIS EVENT, IT’S BECAUSE SHE WAS THE ONE LEADING IT.
We are so honored to have you, and thank you for being part of this journey. We thank God for bringing you into our lives.


Redi and Bethel 

My sister Geni has always been there for me with her kind heart, generous spirit, and caring nature. Her support both physical and spiritual has lifted me up throughout my life’s journey, and I’m deeply honored and grateful to have her.

Genet Ogeto

Though she's my niece but we've grown up more like sisters since our childhood in Adama Nazareth, and even now here in the U.S. I'm truly grateful to God for placing her in my life for such a time as this. She's a beloved and admired figure in our family, known for the love and unity she and her family carry. Before she moved to the U.S., she gave her word to our family that she would step in as a parental figure for me as I began this new journey and God has faithfully honored her word. Now, as I enter this new chapter on my special day, she’s right here by my side.

Our little ones walk before us, full of innocence and grace. Every step they take remind us the purity of love, the joy found in covenant, and the legacy we are building together.

We met at AWGC and became closer through morning prayer before the main service. She’s a faithful woman of prayer and a missionary. One morning during prayer, she saw me in her spirit wearing a ring, laid her hand on me, and prayed. In that moment, I also sensed in my spirit that she would be one of my bridesmaids. What was once a prophetic moment is now a beautiful testimony & I’m so grateful she’s here with me today.

She’s my sister in-law, and from the start, we’ve shared a growing bond through heartfelt conversations and family prayer time, a connection that is continuing. The love within their family reflects the powerful legacy of faith & blessing that Jabez carries(1 Chronicles 4:10). It’s a true honor to be welcomed into this family, and I’m grateful to step into this new season with her as family, united in purpose and faith.

My Sister in Christ, We met at AWGC and have shared many heartfelt moments that I truly honor. She’s a prayer warrior with a gentle, powerful spirit.  I also came to cherish the grace of her beloved mom, and the joy of her sweet daughter Abigael. It’s a blessing to have her by my side on this special day.

I am grateful for this second chance to acknowledge the gift God has placed in our lives through her. She is a precious blessing from God to this covenant, and her presence reflects His love. The bond we share, held by the Holy Spirit, is a connection that can never be broken and will guide us all the way to Jerusalem. Thank you, Metaye, for the light you have brought to this journey, and for your loving heart, unwavering faith, and devoted obedience to God.

He is my friend, whom I met at IEEC a man full of wisdom and talent. With his friendly and sociable nature, he approaches everything with excellence and always gives his best. I’m  honored and grateful to have him here on this special day.

Our friendship began in our early youth at AWGC Ethiopia. His heart for God, his servant-hearted spirit, and the grace flowing through his songs have touched and blessed many. Together, we have served God in His ministry, traveling to different conferences and witnessing the Lord move powerfully.
