Haley and Joe first met in Army flight school at Ft Rucker, Alabama where they went through a year of training and learned to fly helicopters side by side. After graduation, life sent them different directions - Haley to fly Blackhawks at Ft Carson, Colorado and Joe to fly Chinooks at Ft Bliss, Texas. After a few years of remaining friends from a distance, they reunited once again at Fort Rucker. It wasn’t long before Joe bumped into Haley at the gym, which turned into catching up over beers at Mellow Mushroom, a “Master Plan” being activated, and the rest is history….

Shortly after, the Army sent them on their next adventure—over a year stationed together in Honduras, where they traveled all over Central America and fumbled through plenty of Spanish conversations. After returning to the States, they moved to Fort Eustis, VA, reunited with their dogs, and finally got to settle into normal life together.
