Our Love Story

It all started because two people swiped right! ;)

In the digital realm of late December 2021, love sparked between Zac and I on a dating app called Bumble. A simple swipe right turned into a captivating connection, and before we knew it, we found ourselves eagerly anticipating our first date in early January 2022. Zac and I, like most, ran into a few road bumps along the way in our relationship but it was obvious that The Lord was in the middle of this relationship and He was the glue that kept us together. Zac would say he knew he was going to marry me on our second date... I on the other hand took a little longer. It's so obvious that God brought us together and he has a bight future for us together. Zac proposed on January 5, 2024. It was magical and so intentional. Now we are planning our wedding day and our future together forever!

Wendy is from Charleston, SC. Cameron and Wendy have a very close bond. They are like two peas in a pod. Meet the heart and soul behind the love that binds the Burroughs family together, a woman of grace, resilience, and boundless affection. As Cameron's Mom, she radiates warmth and compassion, infusing every moment with her nurturing spirit. With a smile that lights up the room and a heart overflowing with love, she has been the cornerstone of countless cherished memories.
From the tender moments shared during childhood to the guiding hand extended through life's triumphs and trials, Cameron's mom has been a steadfast source of support and wisdom. Her unwavering devotion and unwavering strength have shaped Cameron's journey, instilling values of kindness, perseverance, and unconditional love.

Wendy Burroughs

Rusty is from Martinsville, VA. Meet Cameron's dad – not just a parent, but also her best friend. Their bond, rooted in faith, support, and understanding, has shaped Cameron's journey in profound ways. Through shared laughter, heartfelt car ride conversations, and moments of quiet understanding, Cameron and her dad have cultivated a bond like no other. With a heart as expansive as his love, Rusty has not only been a source of guidance to his family but also a pillar of strength during moments of uncertainty. His faith in Jesus and steadfast presence has provided peace and reassurance, reminding Cameron and Wendy that they are never alone in this crazy world. Rusty and Cameron share a love for fishing together at the beach. He taught her his ways and now she loves it too. 

Rusty Burroughs

Morgan is from Greenville, SC. They were both in a traveling worship choir called Joyful Sound. They met on Cameron's first day of college in 2015 at the first rehearsal of that semester. Cameron and Morgan were close friends throughout college.  Morgan is gifted in singing and she and Cameron made tons of singing videos while stuck inside during 2020. Morgan says "We were good friends through college and lived together for two years after college! We went through Covid and a whole lot of stuff together! Cameron is definitely a sister to me and I’m so excited to celebrate these two with all of you!!"

Morgan Jenkins

Caroline is from Greenville, SC. She and Cameron met in 2017 at Taylors FBC. What started as a mentorship turned into a beautiful and strong friendship very fast. Cameron taught her "How to Play Guitar" for her senior project in High School, and yes she passed. Caroline has been gifted with the talent of singing and leads worship with Cameron each week in Student Ministry and College Ministry and went with her to Canada this summer (2024) to lead worship. Caroline says "From leading worship together, to the countless trips, and all of the conversations in between, she has always been championing me on, and I’m beyond grateful that I get to do that  for her in this next chapter of life. I’ve seen Cameron and Zac’s relationship grow into a beautiful, Christ-centered relationship. I am so excited to celebrate them and cheer them on through this exciting season!"

Caroline Roller

Emily is originally from Des Moines, IA, but adopted and raised in Greer, SC. She and Cameron met in early 2022 at Taylors FBC at an event called "Captivated". From there, a friendship developed that the continued to grow strong. Emily and Cameron are total opposites but there love for Jesus is what has brought them together. Emily is Cameron's "Turtle Nanny" and always loves on her "Tank" when she is out of town. She is known as "Auntie Em"! Emily says "Cameron and Zac have become my two closest friends, and sometimes they act like my parents 😂. I am so grateful for the friendship of you and so so so glad that God was able to give me a beautiful best friend like Cam! I couldn’t be more excited that the two of them are getting married so soon!"

Emily Bullard

Hunter is from Rock Hill, SC. She and Cameron both went to NGU and "knew" of one another but did not develop a strong friendship until Cameron started working at Taylors FBC with Hunters husband Mason. Hunter and Cameron share a love for social media, all things girly and coffee. Cameron actually stayed with Mason and Hunter at their house when they all got snowed in for 3 days back in 2021. Hunter is such an encourager and a sweet soul. She and Mason have a beautiful baby named Poppy who is 1.5 years old this year! Hunter says "I officially met Cam when she started working with my husband at Taylor’s, but we knew of each other while we were both at NGU. Cam is like the sister I never had and is now Auntie Cam to my baby. I am beyond excited to celebrate these two!"

Hunter Freitas

Madi is from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Cameron and Madi also met on their first day of college in 2015 at North Greenville University at Joyful Sound rehearsal. Madi and Cameron lived in the same dorm in college and were very close throughout their time together at NGU. Cameron was also a bridesmaid in Madi's wedding. Madi has such a fun and bubbly personality, and has such a caring and encouraging heart. Madi was hiding in the bushes at Cameron and Zac's proposal taking pictures. Madi says "We met our first year at NGU and we were in Joyful Sound together and we have had each other’s backs ever since. I am so excited to celebrate her love story with Zac and to have the most magical and pink wedding celebration possible!"

Todd is from Greenville, SC. Todd and Zac are very close. Some people even call Zac "Todd Jr." at work because these two look just a like. Growing up Zac and his dad liked to watch and play baseball together. Todd is a loving, compassionate, strong-willed man that holds this family together. 

Todd Phillips

Pam was born right here in upstate of SC. She moved around to different states due to her being in a missions based household. Pam has been in Zac’s life for the last sixteen years.  Pam has always be there for Zac and his brothers. Pam is guarded but once you get to know her; she has a sweet spirit at the core!

Tracy is from Westminster, . Zac and Tracy have a close relationship. The type of bond that Tracy and Zac have is unique. Tracy is a very fun person when you get to know her. One of Tracy's favorite hobbies is to shoot pool. Zac and his mom love doing that as an activity to bond over and to enjoy the sweet moments together. Tracy is beyond excited to have a woman like Cameron become a part of the family!

Tracy Phillips

Grayson is from Greenville, SC. He is Zac's middle brother and these two have strong bond. They grew up playing baseball and basketball together. Grayson is super friendly and outgoing, he is everyone's friend. Speaking wisdom and life into Zac even as a younger brother. Though their schedules are busier these days, things are still the same because the time they spend together is at the golf course. Grayson is a junior at Anderson University.

Grayson Phillips

Jackson is from Greenville, SC. Jackson is Zac's youngest brother. He and Zac are 6 years apart. Jackson and Zac's relationship is strong. Throughout their childhood, they would always throw around a baseball or go to the driving range to hit golf balls. Jackson enjoys playing video games and watching movies in his free time. Jackson is a freshman at Anderson University.

Jackson Phillips

Eric is from Greenville, SC. Zac and Eric met working at BMW. Eric and his wife Maria joined Taylors FBC after Zac invited them to church. Eric likes to ride bikes down the Swamp Rabbit Trail, play video games, be a boss at karaoke, and always have a great time! Both Zac and Eric are majoring in Business Management. On a regular basis, Eric and Zac get together to do homework! 

Eric Mason

Mason is from West Palm Beach, FL; however, in 2009 Mason moved to Greenville, SC. He and Cameron worked together at Taylors FBC where he and Zac met.  Mason is always on the go, working constantly and always has a goal in mind he is trying to reach. Masons' wife Hunter is also in the wedding party! Mason and Hunter have a daughter named Poppy.

Mason Freitas

Jared is from Monks Corner, SC. He and Zac met at Taylors FBC.  Jared plays drums in worship each week at church. He went to Canada this summer (2024) to lead worship with Cameron, Caroline and Harris. Jared is also engaged and will be getting married January 2025. Jared and Zac both have goofy personalities and a love for Jesus that binds their friendship together.
