Zach and I met in high school in 2014. I was a freshman and Zach was a sophomore. We had the same lunch block but did not know it until that November. Our lunch was a little longer one day and so a couple friends and I took the long way back to class. We were coming up the stairs and Zach's class was at the top. I noticed him and his friends and thought he was cute. My friends and I made sure to take the long way when we went back to class everyday from then on so I could see him. Shortly after that he found me on Instagram and asked for my Snapchat. I gave it to him and we started talking and seeing each other in school and out of school. Zach asked me to be his girlfriend on February 4, 2015. It was a snow day and he was learning to drive so Zach and his mother Becky came and picked me up. He even ditched the boys that day to hang out with me. From that day forward we both grew up together and gained many friends along the way. We both graduated high school, I then graduated college and Zach started his own companies.
Over the years people have always asked the question "when are you getting married?" I of course wanted to get married right away out of high school. As time went on I knew it would happen at the right time for us. Zach proposed on a trip we took with friends to Valentine, NE at Merritt Reservoir. He did a great job because it is hard to surprise me and I didn't expect a thing. Minutes before he proposed he was in the water and I was on the beach looking at the lake and telling him, "this is one of my favorite spots." Just after that our friend Bailey wanted to take pictures with everyone. The other couples went first and then it was Zach and I's turn. We took some pictures and I went to check them out, they said they didn't like them and to retake them. I then turned around and Zach was on his knee on the ground. I, at first thought he fell and said to myself "why is he on the ground?" Then I put two and two together and he asked me to marry him, he had to do it twice because I didn't hear him the first time. I said yes right away and thought it's about damn time!
We have enjoyed these past 9 years together, we can't wait to celebrate our wedding day with everyone and look forward to seeing you all.
