Zach and Rachel’s love story started in 2017 at their favorite college bar, Lucky’s Stout House. Thanks to good conversation and a little help from Rachel’s friends, they exchanged numbers and agreed to a first date. They connected over easy conversation and a love of exploring Columbus.

Zach and Rachel have experienced many seasons of life together - long distance, career changes, long distance (again), and big moves. No matter the season of life, their love and friendship continued to grow. Their shared values of faith, family and friendship have given them a solid foundation as they begin their lives together.

Zach asked Rachel to spend their lives together while on a walk along the lakefront in Lakewood. It was a beautiful, private moment made possible by the coldest, windiest morning in February (16 degrees and snowing tends to keep people away from the lakefront). Despite the chilly temperatures, Rachel couldn’t have imagined a more perfect way to say yes to the love of her life.

We have been blessed with so many amazing examples of love and marriage in our families and friends. We can’t wait to start this new chapter of our lives together and celebrate with all of our loved ones.
