The way we tell our story truly depends on where we want to start. We could start with our grandparents stories and their friendship formed in Hereford. Or, we can start with my father befriending the Kalka's and forming a best friendship with Zach's uncle Mel. Basically we can start as family friends who grew up together.

The real beginning of Zach and I's relationship was in high school, at 16 and 15 years old. We were 2 of the 3 high school students who attended a Notre Dame church camp. We spent 16 hours squished in the 3rd row of a suburban, and Zach will claim he already had a crush before we entered Indiana.

For part of high school, Zach and I grew in friendship and dated. We like to call that round 1. Round 2 began after I graduated from grad school in 2021. Zach and I reconnected and started to form a friendship again. He was in optometry school in Indiana, but anytime he came back home we tried to get together and catch up. Fast forward to 2024, Zach moved back to Amarillo after graduation and we have been together ever since.

Zach proposed in September of 2025, after a little over a year of dating. Palo Duro Canyon was the perfect local spot for us to commit to a lifetime together. Our engagement was followed by an after party of our closest friends and family to celebrate. We are beyond grateful for our village and cannot wait to celebrate in April with all of you!
