After attending the same school for four years, it wasn’t until a field trip during our sophomore year that the Lord brought us together. That day stands out for many reasons—especially because Caitlin made it very clear (on video!) that she was not interested in Zach. Ask us to show you the video sometime!

But just a few months later, on December 14, 2018, Zach officially asked Caitlin out, and that marked the beginning of our relationship. From there, God started working in amazing ways. Caitlin kept inviting Zach to church youth group, and over time, he became more involved. That summer, in 2019, Zach gave his life to Jesus—something that changed everything for both of us.

As our relationship grew, so did our faith. We served together through a church internship, which helped us grow closer to each other and to the Lord. After high school, we both chose to attend UAH. That decision turned out to be another way God continued shaping our relationship and our lives. College gave us the chance to spend more time together and share the things we enjoy—like playing tennis, going on walks, riding bikes, finding the best dessert spots, and staying active in our church community.

High school and college are full of changes and challenges, but we’ve been incredibly blessed to go through those seasons side by side. Over the past seven years, we've had the chance to grow up together and build a relationship centered on Christ. We're so thankful for the way God has worked in our lives—individually and as a couple. As 1 John 4:19 says, “We love because He first loved us,” and that truth has been the foundation of everything.
