What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venues?

Guests are more than welcome to personally drive or catch a shuttle. There will be shuttles from the hotels to the ceremony and reception as well as a returning shuttle in the evening. Lyft and Uber are not readily available in Clear Lake.

Is there parking available near your wedding venues?

There is ample parking at the reception venue, but parking is limited at the ceremony site. There is street parking for approximately 72 cars available surrounding the ceremony site with additional parking available on adjacent streets.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

We have blocks of rooms reserved at The Best Western and The Fairfield Inn, in Clear Lake.

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotels?

Yes, there will be a shuttle available.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Guests can arrive at the ceremony anytime after 3:30.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Following the ceremony guests are welcome to head over to the reception venue for cocktail hour. The bridal party will arrive around 5:30 PM and dinner will be served at 6:OO PM.

What time will your wedding reception end?

Our wedding reception will conclude at 11:30 PM.

Is there an after-party following the reception?

We plan to head uptown to Rookies Rockin after the reception!

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Our dress code is technically semi-formal, cocktail attire, but really just plan on wearing your dancing shoes!

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be held indoors.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Our ceremony will be an unplugged event. There will be a quick photo opportunity right away, but after that, we ask you to join us in being fully present by putting away all your electronic devices. We’ve asked a professional photographer to capture this special moment so that you can sit back, relax, and enjoy it with us. Feel free to post any photos you do take during our big day when and wherever you prefer.

What is the bar situation at the reception?

The bar at The Surf Ballroom accepts cash and all major credit cards.
