Our Wedding

Alicia and Zach have about as close to an “The Office” story as you can get nowadays. Their paths first crossed when Zach joined the team at ValueCare Vet Clinic in 2022. Zach fondly remembers walking into the clinic on his first day to find out that Alicia (acting manager) had no idea that a new vet was even coming in that day. Alicia then spent the morning scrabbling to figure out what to do with Zach. The first few months of knowing each other, Zach was limited to only 1-2 days at the Richfield location. During these days, Alicia and Zach slowly started to develop a friendship (similar to Jim & Pam), bonding over their mutual loves for all things horror, tattoos, hiking, nature, and music. Zach would also go into the kennel room where Alicia kept her dog Kylo, and try to butter him up to get some extra brownie points with Alicia. Both had partners at the time of the initial friendship, and as they both are loyal & honest people, they remained strictly friends. Once they were both no longer in relationships, they decided to finally start seeing each other as more than just friends. Their first date was a hike at Fort Snelling State Park, which has become one of their favorite spots to hike in the Twin Cities. Alicia will state that she was never quite sure how Zach felt about her as he was not the best at reassuring her earlier on in their courting phase; but Zach will state he was always sure of Alicia and regrets not giving her the reassurance she deserved. Alicia also likes to give Zach a hard time as he never officially asked her to be his girlfriend, but Zach likes to think he made up for that with the proposal. With each passing month their relationship grew stronger and more stable. Zach knew very early on in the relationship that he was going to ask Alicia to marry him.

Trey and Zach first met in college, where they both majored in Animal Science. They were instantly drawn to each other and a steadfast friendship quickly developed over their shared love of football, sheep and music. Zach even officiated Trey’s wedding. Trey tragically passed away in October 2023, but was always destined to be Zach’s Best Man. Trey will be remembered and honored and will stand next to Zach in spirit as his Best Man.

Mary & Alicia first met in kindergarten when their teacher introduced them and encouraged them to go play together at recess. This forced friendship quickly formed into a lifelong sistership that has stood the test of time. Even with the distance, Mary & Alicia continue to hold their friendship as a priority and make sure to devote time for girl trips. 
Mary is a loyal, loving, and someone Alicia can always count on for a good time with lots of laughs.

Mary Zimmiond

Mitch and Zach first crossed paths in the summer of 2013 when they were both working at a summer camp. They were housed together the first week, and their friendship grew stronger each week and the rest is history. While they may live a distance from each other, they are able to maintain their bond.

Mitchell Koellner

Alexandra is the elder of Alicia's younger twin sisters. They bond over their love of taking care of plants and shopping for Halloween decor. Alexandra goes out of her way to make people feel special and Alicia always looks forward to her specially curated birthday gifts, which usually includes the best items that Spirit Halloween has to offer.
Alexandra is intelligent, caring, and Alicia is eager to continue working with her to strengthen Kylo and Butch's relationship (if you know, you know).

Kyle and Zach grew up in the same area and even went to the same church but their friendship didn’t begin until they were in jr high and went on a mission trip together. The friendship was reignited when Kyle and Zach realized they were both in C. Iowa at the same time. Zach was a groomsman in Kyle’s wedding and will now serve as one in Zach’s wedding.

Brianna is the younger of Alicia's twin sisters. As sisters, they have several memories and interests they bond over. Live music is something they both love. One of Alicia's favorite memories is when Brianna drove several hours to meet up with her to go see one of their favorite bands, The 1975, together. Brianna is a passionate person with a unique sense of humor that Alicia can always count on to brighten her day. Alicia looks forward to visiting Brianna in Seattle again in the future.

Guo and Zach were first introduced through Alicia’s sister, Brianna as Guo is her partner. Guo and Zach hit it off and their friendship developed while Zach & Alicia were visiting them in Seattle. They bonded over their love for delicious food and ended up cooking fresh Salmon & Halibut together for the family while in Seattle; becoming the “Fish Skin Bros.”

Raechel is Alicia's youngest sister. They bond over their love and appreciation for animals, frequently exchanging tips & tricks for caring for their fur-babies. Raechel is a talented seamstress, ramen extraordianaire, and Alicia can also count on her to keep her secrets - like the time she got pulled-over on their way home from Raechel's shift at Taco John's and Alicia didn't want Mom to know about it at the time. Alicia is always excited to visit Raechel and her home full of precious fur-babies.

Kelz & Zach first met in kindergarten and were close friends and classmates until high school. Despite being apart for several years, Kelz & Zach were able to reignite their friendship as adults. They are both excited to keep growing and building on their friendship. Zach is honored to have Kelz beside him on his wedding day.

Sarah and Alicia began their friendship back in high school and quickly learned they would be bonded for life. They pride themselves on still being close even though everyone told them they wouldn't be friends after being roommates in college. Their friendship was strengthened by their many sacred car-chats following a night out with the friend group in high school. Sarah is a very kind, generous, and thoughtful person, and someone Alicia can always count on.

Judah is the little brother that Zach never had. Their relationship blossomed right from their first meeting. Judah’s energy and personality is addicting to be around so it was hard not to become friends. Judah is Alicia’s youngest brother on her dad's side. Zach is excited and honored to be gaining Judah as his brother.

Sarah and Alicia began their friendship back in high school, and there was no turning back - she completes the unbreakable girl group of four. Sarah and Alicia bond over their love of spooky things - so much so that they ended up getting tickets with the group and stood in line for a haunted house that didn't end up opening for a whole other week. Sarah is compassionate, charismatic, and Alicia always looks forward to seeing her bright smile.

Grayson is Alicia’s youngest brother on her mom’s side. Grayson is one of the most kind and gentle souls you will ever meet. He is always open to fielding questions about Zach and Alicia’s car troubles, and he would give the shirt off his back if you asked him. Zach is looking forward to having Grayson as his brother.

Ashley is Zach's younger sister. Alicia enjoyed getting to spend time with Ashley when going to Iowa over Christmas and playing board games together. Alicia is looking forward to having Ashley as a sister and making more memories together.

Braxxton and Zach have developed a big brother/little brother friendship dynamic ever since first meeting. Braxxton is the youngest son of a friend & coworker, Gen. Braxxton and Zach bond over their love for sports and eating sour candy. Zach also enjoys cheering Braxxton on during his hockey games.

The Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is the closest airport, and is only about 10 minutes from our house and about 20 minutes from our venue.

Accommodations

We do not have any Room Blocks for any hotels. We did this to allow our guests to pick hotels or accommodations that fit their personal preferences. We also encourage guests to explore Airbnb options if that is a preference for them.

Transportation/Parking

For guests flying into Minneapolis, you can utilize a Rental, Uber, Lyft, Taxi, or our Lightrail System to get around the cities. For our guests who are driving in, please make sure your Accommodation has on-site parking. Parking ramps can be pricey here. Our Wedding Venue has a parking ramp that guests will be required to park in. The address for the ramp is 201 2nd St SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414. Once you park in the ramp, you can walk across the street to our venue. Our guests will need to use the entrance called "East Entrance."

Important General Information

- Attire: We will be requiring all of our guests to dress in formal attire for the wedding &amp; reception. Inappropriately dressed individuals will be asked to leave, change, and return. Examples of formal attire include: button-up shirts with ties, dress slacks, dress shoes, dresses, suits, and tuxedos. Examples of inappropriate attire include: shorts, t-shirts, polos, jeans, flannels, cowboy boots, work boots, coveralls, baseball caps, cowboy hats, etc. If this hinders your ability to attend our wedding, we will miss your company at our wedding. Thank you for understanding.

- Children: Our venue does not allow children, with the only exception being children in the wedding party. We do realize that a number of our invited guests have children. If this affects your attendance at our wedding, we understand, and we will miss your company at the wedding. Thank you for understanding.

- Guests: No additional guests will be allowed. Our venue has a maximum number of allowed guests, and we have reached that number. If you arrive with someone not on our guest list, you and the guest will be asked to leave, as our venue will fine us for every additional guest. Thank you for understanding.&nbsp;

- Registry: While we appreciate anything you gift us for our wedding, we do not have a registry. We do prefer cash gifts to help with wedding and honeymoon costs instead of gifts. We enjoy developing lasting memories vs collecting material items. Thank you for understanding our wishes.

- Meal: We will have a plated meal for our guests. We will have 3 different entrée options for our guests to pick from. Each entree will come with the following sides: . Desserts will be available as well. We will also be having a late-night snack option available for our guests.

- Bar/Drinks: We have a complimentary limited tab for an open bar during our cocktail hour. Once this tab has been met, the bar will convert to a cash bar for those who would like to consume alcoholic drinks. We will have an open bar for a limited number of custom mocktails and soft drinks. If you elect to consume alcohol, we ask that you do it responsibly, as our venue will remove any drunk guests and we will be fined accordingly for any guest misconduct.

- RSVP Due Date: Please complete your RSVPs through our website by August 1st. No exceptions will be made for late RSVPs due to venue guidelines.
