The Ballroom at McKay Tower does not have its own parking lot

However, there are several convenient parking options within a short walking distance in downtown Grand Rapids:

Monroe Center Ramp (130 Monroe Center St NW, directly across from McKay Tower): This parking garage is the closest option, just steps from the venue. It offers covered parking and is open 24/7. Rates are typically $2 per half-hour, with a daily maximum of around $12 (subject to change).

Pearl Street Lot (50 Pearl St NW, about a 2-minute walk): This surface lot is another nearby option, located just south of the tower. It’s ideal for quick access and costs approximately $1.50 per half-hour.

Street Parking: Metered street parking is available along Monroe Center and surrounding streets. Meters operate Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 11 PM and accept coins, credit cards, or mobile payments via apps like ParkMobile. Parking is free on Sundays and after 11 PM.

If you’ve booked a room at a nearby hotel, such as the Amway Grand Plaza or Homewood Suites by Hilton, we highly recommend using your hotel’s parking garage. This is a convenient and secure option, often with valet services, and allows you to easily return to your room after the celebration without needing to drive.
