Our Story

It all started the modern way—online. We spent nearly a month talking, texting, and convincing each other that we weren’t secret weirdos. When we finally set to meet in person, we figured, "Why not test the limits of attraction right away?" So, our first date was at Lacy's gym, where we lifted weights, laughed way too much, and promptly rewarded our efforts with pizza. Nothing says romance like sharing a cheesy slice of heaven the day before Valentine’s Day.

It didn’t take long for us to realize we had something special. Zack, being the thoughtful planner he is, set up a beautiful weekend in San Antonio, where we officially became "us." We got along way too well, literally quoting the same movies at the exact same time all weekend (we do this a lot). And from that moment on, life became an adventure. We knew this wasn’t just chance—it was God’s plan.

For four months, we did long-distance, navigating opposite schedules, exhausting shifts, and barely-there weekends. Zack worked grueling 12-hour shifts for 30 days straight, and Lacy drove the 2.5 hours every weekend to see him, proving that love truly conquers all. We made the most of the short time we had together, and when the opportunity came to close the distance, we didn’t hesitate. We moved in together, finally bringing Charly to his new home in Texas, Zack started a new career, and life started to feel like the perfect mix of exciting and chaotic.

Then, on our six-month anniversary, we hit another milestone—literally unlocking a new level in our relationship when we got the keys to our first home together. A couple of months later, Lacy took on a new training job, and we continued building a life we loved together.

But the real highlight? Christmas Day. Against the breathtaking backdrop of Mt. Shasta, Zack got down on one knee and popped the question. (Spoiler alert: Lacy said yes!)

Every step of our story has been a reminder that the best things in life happen in their own time, and we know we've discovered the love we've been looking for what feels like an eternity. As we step into this next chapter of marriage, we do so with faith at the center, trusting that the best is yet to come.

And here we are, ready to celebrate our biggest milestone yet—our wedding day. We can’t wait to share this special moment with all of you, the people who have supported, cheered, and maybe even placed bets on when this would happen.

So, get ready for a day full of love, laughter, and some good food—because some traditions are too good to break.
