Our Story:

Jossalyn and I are proud to welcome you all to our highly anticipated union. Over the years, you have all seen us grow in our relationship to God and each other and we hope that this marriage will be a continuation of a life-long commitment to one another. After first meeting in high school, Joss and I both found interest in each other after having casual conversation at mutual friends' graduation parties. Since our relationship began on June 13th, 2021, we have continued to find new things to love about each other. One of these passions that slowly developed was the mutual appreciation for the natural beauty in mountains and beaches. As a kid, I would experience these wonders on various road trips, and it didn’t take long for Jossalyn to appreciate the beauty of the western mountains when she first tagged along on a family trip to Pagosa Springs, Colorado in the summer of 2022. Ever since then, we have both felt a deeper connection to God through hikes and sightseeing activities that show us the wonderful gift that God gave us through nature. I am excited to call Jossalyn family and continually grow in the passions that we hold dear together.

The Proposal:

After finishing out our spring semester as Juniors in college, Jossalyn and I took a vacation to Great Smoky Mountain National Park. On our first day in the park, we biked the Cade's Cove loop that consisted of 11 miles of beautiful scenery and plenty of wildlife. While Joss was too busy looking at a family of black bears right outside Abrams Falls Trailhead, I asked her to marry me. It was a quick and resounding YES that left the bears concerned but everyone else very excited. As a treat for you all, we included the video of the proposal. I was able to catch the moment on Go-Pro, but ironically, it was accidently recorded as a time lapse! The link to the proposal is displayed at the very bottom of the page and we suggest putting the video on 0.25 speed.
