CYO Camp Rancho Framasa is just over an hour from the Indianapolis Airport. If you are flying in and renting a car (or simply driving all the way) consider carpooling with other guests. Use&nbsp;<a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-qEEou8BhyoqhHAsmvr1HFOxFWt7M6F7GIMdCtEkZ_I/edit?usp=drive_link" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">this spreadsheet</a>&nbsp;to share your travel plans and contact information. We know rentals can be irritating. Hopefully carpooling will help cut down on the number of rentals and get you acquainted with another guest. You're all very fun people. And thank you for coming all this way for our wedding!

There will be parking available on the camp property near the dining hall. We'll have signs and ushers to show you the way.

Parking

CYO Camp has enough cabins for everyone to stay for free. The cabins have twin-sized bunk beds, and each cabin will sleep up to 22 people. We will have male, female, and co-ed cabins available. If you opt to stay in a cabin, your party will most likely be sharing the space with other guests. Each cabin has air conditioning, WiFi, and a bathroom with showers. You will need to bring your own bedding, towels, and toiletries. When you RSVP, just select a cabin as your lodging option and we'll reserve a spot for you.

Camp Cabins

Hotel Nashville offers suites with two king-size beds, two baths, a partial kitchen, and a balcony. Each suite could easily accommodate a family or a few friends. It is a 10-minute drive from camp. To get the group rate, call the hotel and ask to book under the Gordon-Landers wedding. There are limited rooms available, so we encourage booking early.

Hotel Nashville

This hotel is a 40-minute drive from camp. To book, use the website link below. You must reserve a room by Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Hyatt Place Bloomington

If you want to find another lodging option near the camp, we recommend booking it as soon as possible. Nashville is a tourist destination for fall foliage, and October is their busiest month. Many hotels and Airbnbs are already reserved. What to do while you're here!

At camp- Explore the many nature trails- Gather around a morning campfire- Play a game (pickleball, basketball, gaga ball ... and more!)- Go fishing! The camp has some fishing tackle available, but you're also welcome to bring your own Near Nashville- Check out Hard Truth Distilling Co (5 minute drive from camp)- Visit Brown County State Park (10 minute drive from camp)- Walk around downtown Nashville (10 minute drive from camp) In Bloomington-	On Saturday morning, check out the Bloomington Farmer's Market (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM, 401 N. We're so excited to have our wedding at CYO Camp Rancho Framasa! Maya first visited this camp in 2012, when she and her family lived in Bloomington, Indiana. They became close friends with the Sullivans - Kevin, Angi, Kaleb, Addison, Maereed, Boo, and Amelia - who manage, direct, and staff the camp. Kevin and Angi met at CYO camp when they were campers, and Maereed and her husband Gage were married at camp in 2019. In between, and in addition to its main summer programming, the camp has hosted weddings, writing workshops, and family weekends. Zak and Maya visited the camp soon after they got engaged, and they immediately knew that they wanted to get married here. Along with its dedication to traditional summer camp fun, CYO Camp Rancho Framasa prioritizes inclusivity and accessibility. It has been chosen to be a part of the National Inclusive Camping Practices Study, and it has received state and national awards from The Arc, Inc. to recognize its work. Campers of all abilities participate together in one inclusive environment.&nbsp; If you want to support the camp in its mission, we highly encourage a donation in any amount. CYO Camp

Maya grew up in Austin, TX, with her brother, Benja, and parents, Courtney and Jay.&nbsp;She was homeschooled, and she spent the majority of her preteen years reading Animorphs on her family's trampoline. After high school, she took a gap year, wherein she read a lot of books, worked as a lifeguard, and wrote essays and short stories. She then worked in Nanjing, China, as a kindergarten teacher. When she returned to Austin, she moved into a co-op, where she enjoyed communal living and a lot of tofu.&nbsp; Maya recently completed degree in English at the University of Texas at Austin, and now she works as a teacher in an alternative elementary school. She loves biking, baking, and lingering at coffee shops longer than is appropriate.

Maya

Zak grew up in Arlington, VA with his sister, Kaiya, and parents, Randy and Kathi. He was homeschooled, he played Yu-Gi-Oh!, and he lived with three great dogs. Zak began attending high school, H-B Woodlawn, where he fell in love with theatre. He even went to James Madison University to study theatre. But he changed his mind! Zak became a teacher, first in Malaysia, and then back at H-B as a substitute. When he lost his job in the midst of Covid, he moved to Austin, TX without really knowing why. It is warmer there, and Zak gets to eat plenty of donuts and tacos. He is a life-long biker, a spoken-word poet, and he likes making playlists of the new music he finds.&nbsp; Six months after moving, Zak realized why he came to Austin. He met Maya! Sharing the past three years together has been joyful, and Zak is so excited to live the rest of his life with Maya.&nbsp;

Zak and Maya connected over Hinge (the dating app) because of a statement Zak had written about loving Harry Potter audiobooks. When Maya replied by name-dropping the audiobook narrator, both of them knew they needed to meet. Zak and Maya’s first date was at the Austin Central Library, where they realized that they had both been raised Unitarian Universalist, both been homeschooled, had both spent their early years in Northern Virginia, and were both working as teachers.&nbsp; Maya’s brother, Benja, took Zak rock climbing for their second date, and Maya introduced Zak to her parents later that week. They welcomed him with spectacular warmth (and gentle teasing). It took three more months before Zak’s family got to meet Maya and attempt to introduce her to all the food Arlington has to offer.&nbsp; About two years into their relationship Zak and Maya adopted a puppy, Uther. Maya proposed to Zak the following week, and Zak proposed to Maya two weeks later (this joint proposal was an idea from Kaiya). Zak and Maya like road-tripping, music festivals, playing with their dog, running, biking, cooking, reading, throwing parties for friends and family, and listening to Harry Potter audiobooks together. Every night they tell each other where they saw the Big Mystery in their day, and every morning they say “good morning, I love you!”
