The year 2020 is by far my favorite because it is the year our Lord brought Triston into my life. Timing is something I believe truly lies in the hands of God because I could not have picked a more perfect story I would want for myself, the timing the story happened, and who I get to share this sweet story with. Triston is a unique, special kind of person you don't meet everyday. Taking on this life together has shown me how special he is everyday - special in the way he grows in his relationship with God everyday, special through his endless reliability to others, special by providing endless amounts of dedication to his job by always giving 100%, special by making it apparent that family is his number one priority, and my favorite thing that shows how special he truly is overall is that no matter what during the good and bad times our relationship will always be based on a God centered relationship before marriage and after marriage. God's timing is always so good, and while I wish I had met Triston earlier I wouldn't change God's timings for anything. Triston is the man I prayed years for when praying for my future husband and who I will continue to pray for as my husband come March 18, 2023. Allison McMullen is one of my best friends I met working as nurses in Birmingham at Childrens. Allison and Sidney Powell are two of the main reasons I made it through my last two years of night shift! They have seen the silliest moments of me and have also captured them on camera too. Allison and Triston went to Auburn together during college and both moved to Birmingham after college too. One night at work Allison got one of the silly moments captured on camera and posted it to Snapchat and Triston skimmed over it and made some comment leading to Allison initiating the conversation with me on how we all three needed to hangout. At that time Triston and I were both single and were up for it. So that day we planned this out came and the funniest thing ended up happening, Allison ended up getting sick and not able to do anything. I honestly debated on backing out and come to find out later on down the line Triston did too - My reasoning is I hate blind dates and will be super duper shy and Triston's was he wanted to play video games because he was tired from going out the night before (LOL)... we both ended up going though and obviously had a blast, hahaha. I was being shy I will say and Triston did most of the talking, but I didn't mind at all - truly he is the reason the date went so good. Initially we went to Back Forty and from there we got ice cream at McDonalds and just talked for hours in the car. My favorite first date by far. I worked the next day but he wanted to come see me before I went into work and thats when I think I low key won him over because he got to meet Tucker that evening (my dog), and if you have heard Triston talk about him sicne we started dating in August 2020, he refers to Tucker as his best friend. Honestly, I think if Tucker could he would say Triston was his best friend too, haha. As time went on Triston continued to show me ways to make me love him a little more everyday. I knew that was special because I had never experienced that before or knew I actually could (lovey-dovey I know). I have always wondered if God wanted me to find that right person He had for me to go through and experience the chapters of dating, engagement, and sweet marriage. Dealing with the good and bad things that come with those chapters, and being able to get through them together by placing our trust in God. Knowing that in all He is will provide us with a strong, happy, and gracious relationship as long as the relationship is centered around Him throughout all things. I am blown away by how much God proved me wrong back before Triston was around. Blown away in the happiest way though. I truly had thoughts of never being able to find that one right person for me, and being single may just be what God's story was for me (nothing wrong with that either). At one point I was at the place of being content with it and no longer seeking anything that involved pursuing a relationship. It's funny though once I got to that point of not really caring about relationships and being happy with myself and where I was at as a person, that is that point when God brought Triston into my life unexpectedly, and ever since than my life has been so much sweeter. I can't wait to marry Triston March 18th and celebrate with all friends and family. I am so grateful for these last two years and everything and everyone that has been involved in it! Life with Triston and Tucker both by my side is the sweetest gift I could ask for.
