One day, in the winter of 2019, Zeena decided to step out of her comfort zone, and join her friend as a plus one to attend a birthday party. It was at this party that she met Matthew, a silly and bright young man full of whimsy who immediately caught her eye. They spent their time talking about all their similar interests, their favorite foods, favorite music, dreams and hopes of the future, their meme collections, and all the things that make them who they are. Zeena knew that Matthew was interested right away, but in true Arab girl fashion, she played hard to get for 4 years until she decided it was time to get to know him. Zeena and Matthew had their first colleague outing at Taqueria Downtown where they quickly realized they had found an eating partner for life. After that day, it did not take long for these two to fall in love.Since then, they have spent time together with their families, learning about their respective cultures and traditions, as well as learning how to develop their own new traditions as they start a blended life together. Matthew will never forget the day that he tried kofta for the first time, and Zeena has since learned that cheese does in fact belong in hot chocolate. The two have proven their love and devotion for each other through both difficult and easy times, but still, they remain enamored with one another and are excited to begin a new chapter of life. The beginning of their love story, as all beautiful stories begin, is just that– a beginning, the rest is to be continued…&nbsp;
