Zoe and Isaac first met in July of 2020 where they started training for their jobs as Resident Assistants: Zoe in her third year and Isaac in his first. On the first day, after Isaac formally met Zoe he switched his training schedule to be with her instead of another returning RA. That evening while Zoe was training Isaac she was eating spaghetti and accidentally spit on him, and that's when Isaac knew she was the one!

It did take Isaac nearly 4 weeks of texting, going to the gym together, and helping each other with their RA wall decorations to finally ask Zoe out on a formal date. For all he knew, Zoe was just a really helpful coworker. In the busyness of preparing for welcome week events and resident move-in, they finally went on a first date at the Cheesecake Factory and only a couple weeks later made it official.

On the day Zoe and Isaac officially started dating, the dean of students at UNO implemented a no-guest policy for all of campus due to a COVID-19 spike. While it made the job a little more complicated having to be guest police, they were able to sneak over to each other's dorms trying their hardest not to get caught by coworkers.

Fast forward to today, Zoe and Isaac live in Elkhorn with their wonderful black cat, Sock, and they enjoy going on runs together, playing pickleball, having reading dates, and taking Sock on walks in his see-through backpack.
