The Cincinnati Zoo was founded in 1873 and officially opened its doors in 1875, making it the second oldest Zoo in the United States. With 65 acres of animal habitats, attractions, botanical gardens, and the most famous hippo bloat in the world.

The Newport Aquarium is located right across the river from the hotel in Kentucky.
