In 2018, while enjoying a walk on the riverfront of Washington, Missouri, I met my future husband, Parker Banks. We hit it off as friends before he had to go home to North Carolina. In 2021, I took a risky, but a worthwhile Step One to surprise him at his high school graduation. Our first date was the following day, June 5th, 2021. We dated long distance, only seeing each other in person three times across the span of nine months. In February of 2022, he moved to Missouri. On December 25th, 2024, he proposed under the lights of our Christmas tree. The tree I almost didn’t put up under all the stress of moving and the holidays! We’ll have celebrated four years together by our wedding day!
