Our story begins in 2015 when Zoe was going to North Park University. Zoe and her twin sister Mia (maid of honor) were badminton fiends, but on the off chance one of them couldn’t play, they needed an alternate. They chose the ever-capable Renee. Fast Forward to 2022 Renee got married to Brian’s best friend Max (best man). Brian spent a year hanging out with Renee and Max compiling a plethora of pictures for his Bumble dating profile. Fast forward again to July 21st , 2023. Brian swiped right on a cute girl’s profile that seemed to share the same values as him. Zoe spotted her former badminton alternate, Renee, in some dude’s Bumble profile pictures. She thought well if Renee hangs out with this dude maybe he isn’t crazy, and swiped right on him. It’s a match!

For those unfamiliar with Bumble’s rules, the girl must initiate the conversation after a match. Zoe sent, “how do you know Renee! We are friends from college!” Brian put on the charm “She is my best friend’s wife! I just played mini golf with her today and she won! Wanna play mini golf this weekend and prove that all North Park girls are good at mini golf?” So we set up a first date to mini golf.

Many important births happened on August 4th : Louis Vuitton, Louis Armstrong, Billy Bob Thorton, Barack Obama, and Brian and Zoe met in person for the first time. Brian won mini golf, but we both had a great time and even got ice cream after the match. Throughout the month of August, we went on multiple dates until we made it official on September 7th 2023.

We quickly fell for each other. Both of our jobs had low hours, so we were able to spend a lot of time together. We crafted, played games, watched shows, played music, dined out, took care of relatives and traveled to faraway places together.

On December 29th 2024, Brian proposed to Zoe at her favorite place, Covenant Point. Zoe designed the engagement ring and it incorporated stones from her grandmother, and Brian’s late mother. We are so excited to start the next chapter of our relationship and spend the rest of our lives with each other!
