Our story started on February 14, 2022, when we met at the FHU library on Valentine's Day night! Our versions of that night are very different. Zoe claims that Alex never even spoke to her that night, but Alex claims that he did speak to her, but that he was so nervous! Regardless of how it actually went, we did not speak to each other for another few weeks.

That semester at FHU, a big splatter ball war broke out on campus, and, of course, Alex participated by always carrying his splatter ball gun with him. Right before spring break, Alex decided to shoot his shot with Zoe...literally. While Zoe was driving around campus one afternoon, Alex shot her car with his splatter ball gun. He claims this was all a part of his plan to get Zoe to fall in love with him.

Once we got back to school after spring break, we spent all of our time together. We started dating on May 7, 2022-only 4 days before we both left for summer break.

Even though we were living over 4 hours away from each other that summer, we met up frequently and spent almost every night on FaceTime!

Whenever we got back to school for the next school year, we were back to being inseparable! Whether it was being College Ministry Interns at Bethel Springs church of Christ, Vice Presidents for Omega Chi, or Committee Members of Competitors for Christ, we did everything together.

In January 2023, Alex bought Zoe's engagement ring, but not even 24 hours later, Zoe accidentally found the receipt from his purchase (nice going Alex). He spent the next few months trying to plan the proposal without Zoe knowing, but just like the ring, she unintentionally found out about everything! Alex proposed on May 7, 2023 and, of course, Zoe said yes!

Since then, we have been planning for our wedding and our life together! God's providence has been evident in our story and we cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together working for His Kingdom!

We cannot say enough "thank yous" to our Heavenly Father, families, and friends for all of the love and support we have been given!
