Q + A

What is the dress code for the wedding?

On Saturday evening, we request that you dress in summer formal attire. We respectfully request no jeans or t-shirts for the wedding night. We encourage you to wear bright colors. Please reference our Pinterest page for inspiration: https://pin.it/3UIJZiU

How far is the walk to the ceremony, look-out point?

We request that you budget 15 minutes to walk to the ceremony site. Please be aware that we are in the Adirondack Mountains and this is an incline walk on a trail. We recommend dropping off your heels and dancing shoes at the Dining Hall, and wearing flat shoes up to the ceremony.

What is in the cabin?

The cabins all have their own bathrooms with showers. You’ll also have your pick of a single wooden cot or bunk beds, all with inner spring mattresses. There are plenty of lockers with shelves or drawers to store your items. All cabins have outlets for charging your electronics or plugging in a fan. The cabins are not air conditioned but are well ventilated with plenty of windows. We will also provide hand soap, hand towels, toilet paper, and welcome baskets.

How do I pay to stay at camp?

Forest Lake Camp will be accepting payment upon arrival for check-in. Please bear in mind that FLC does not have ability to process a credit card, but do accept cash, Venmo, or check. For your convenience, if you wish to pay in advance you may Venmo money directly to Forest Lake Camp (@ForestLake-SummerCamp) or to Zoë (@Zoe-Vriesman). Be sure to state that your payment is for the "Genrich Wedding".

What about food/snacks/drinks?

All meals and alcohol are included for the weekend. Feel free to bring what you need, just remember that food in cabins could attract chipmunks so you’ll need something air-tight for storage (we suggest a big Tupperware). We also suggest bringing a cooler for any items/alcohol you would like to keep cold. FLC can provide ice. Gateway Wine and Liquor in Warrensburg is on the way to camp.

Are kids welcome?

Yes! What is camp without kids? Please RSVP for all of those who are attending in your party.

What if I need to buy something?

If needed, there are shops in town about 10 minutes away. In Warrensburg you can find Walgreens, grocery stores, liquor store, deli, McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, and a few specialty stores.

What will the weather be like?

The Adirondacks in late June are beautiful! You can expect 70-80 degree days and 60 degree evenings. The cabins do not have AC, but it can actually get quite chilly at night, so be sure to pack some warmer layers.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have an amazing photographer and we will be sure to share her photos! At any other time throughout the weekend, we would love for you to take photos and share them!

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Just let us know in your RSVP & we'll do our best to make sure you're taken care of.

Is there WIFI at the venue?

There is WiFi at the Dining Hall, however, service is spotty at most of the spots around camp. Enjoy the adventure & wander where the wifi (and cell service) is weak. If you have family that worry, let them know you may not be reachable. We hope you will put your phones away and be present with us.
