When should I RSVP by?
March 31, 2024
Which airport should I fly into?
For those travelling domestically, we recommend flying into LGA as this is the closest airport to Astoria.
For those travelling internationally, we recommend flying into JFK.
Last option is flying into Newark (EWR), but note that this airport is in New Jersey and hence takes a little longer by taxi or public transport to get to Astoria.
Transportation from JFK?
Given traffic on a holiday weekend often means 1 hour + taxi ride, we suggest taking the AirTrain out of JFK. That will get you to Jamaica Station where you can then take the E train to Queensboro Plaza. It's a short walk to the hotel from there.

Where do you suggest staying?
We have a few blocks reserved at hotels in the area - refer to the hotel tab.
Do I have to stay in Queens?
Nope! The beauty of a NYC wedding, is you can stay anywhere in NYC! The venue is a stones throw away from the Queensboro bridge, and a quick walk from the N, W, R, E, 7 subways.
I have always wanted to stay in Queens! Where can I eat / drink in walking distance to the hotel?
Napoli's Pizza: the best slice around //
Madam Marie's: best $5 happy hour IPA around //
Pig Beach: get a head start on the post-wedding lunch and grab a drink and some BBQ in this giant venue with great outdoor space //
Diamond Dogs: speakeasy with the best cocktails in the area (BYOF) //
Milkflower: the best Neapolitan pizza in the area //
Astoria Seafood: fish market turned BYOB restaurant. Be prepared to grab your fish off the ice and hand it to someone that doesn't speak English to cook! No but seriously, if you are interested in going here, consult google so you know how to order and what to expect, but it's the best seafood you will ever have //
Lots 'o' Bagels: our fav bagel spot on Broadway //
Bund on Broadway: soup dumplings in this no fuss no muss BYOB palace //
Mars: fancier option for cocktails or dinner. Check their website for Oyster’s happy hour!
What else is there to see in the immediate area?
We suggest taking a long walk to either Astoria Park, The Gantry on the Long Island City waterfront, or Roosevelt’s Island. We would also suggest using a Citibike when touring the area.
Central Park Visit
We love the park and our proximity to it! You can take the N/W train a quick 4 stops to 5th avenue. From there, the park is across the street. If you feel adventurous and want to walk, run or bike there -- it is 3 miles from the area and there is a walk / bike path (separate from traffic) on the Queensboro bridge.
Where is the nearest grocery store?
CTown supermarket (34-12 34th Ave) or Key Food (30-13 36th Ave) . Of course, there are also also plenty of bodega's around (corner shops).
If I am driving to the wedding, where can I park?

What is the dress code?
For the church, the dress code is dressy casual.
For the reception, the dress code is black tie optional.
For the girls: highly recommend looking up www.pashionfootwear.com and getting a pair of heels which can convert into flats and use code WGZOEWRIGHT and get 25% off!
Can I bring my children to the church?
We warmly welcome children to join us for our wedding ceremony at the church. However, as the evening reception will have more adult-oriented activities, we kindly request that our guests make alternate arrangements for childcare. We appreciate your understanding and hope you can still join us for this special celebration.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We have hired a professional photographer and videographer who will capture all the special memories, and we will be happy to share them with you after the wedding.
What should I do during the gap between the ceremony and the reception?
Whatever you would like! We suggest turning up to the church more casual so you can make use of the gap to go home and change. Otherwise take a look at any of our suggested activities for food, drinks or places to walk to that we mentioned above.
Do you have a registry?
No. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for and we look forward to celebrating with everyone.
