Where's the wedding?

Nestled in the hills of Newbury, VT, we're getting married at Wild Sugar Homestead. Our ceremony will be held in a beautiful field with views of the White Mountains. For pictures and more info, visit https://www.wildsugarhomestead.com

What's the dress code?

We're going for "dressy casual" which means get spruced up, but be prepared to walk through a field. Dress as fancy as you want while staying practical! The Knot has a great guide on guest attire you can check out if you like to see visual examples ;)

Where should we stay?

We recommend staying at the Nootka Lodge in Woodsville, NH, which is 25 minutes from the venue. They are offering a 15% discount for our guests, and they will hold a block of rooms for us until May 14th. You must call and make your reservation over the phone to receive the discount (reference Zoey & Sophia's wedding group). You can also find many wonderful Air BnBs in the area. For breakfast, check out Shiloh's Restaurant or the Gather Together Cafe (in Woodsville) or the Newbury Village Store for a quick coffee and sandwich to go. There is also room to camp at the wedding venue if sleeping outdoors is your thing! We can help you access tents, etc. if you don't have your own.

Will my GPS work? Is there cell service?

Please make sure your route takes you through West Newbury! Approach the venue from the east, coming from the direction of Route 91. VTers: please don't attempt to travel Tucker Mtn Rd or Wrights Mtn Rd from the west side. Trust that it actually is quicker to take Rt 25 all the way to Bradford and come over from the east, and you won't have to repair a broken axle :) Cell service? Google Maps? While there is cell service at the location, service in the surrounding area is pretty spotty. You will definitely have service or wifi at your hotel/AirBnB.

How do you get there from here?

If you are traveling from out of state, you'll likely arrive via Burlington, VT or Boston, MA. We recommend renting a car or buddying up with other guests to drive to Newbury. Expect about a 1.5-2 hour drive from Burlington, or a 3-hour drive from Boston. Longer if you want to stop along the way for Ben & Jerry's and cider donuts in Waterbury, lunch in White River Junction, or a short hike around Lake Morey in Fairlee!

How do I RSVP for a plus-one?

We love that you want to share our wedding with someone important to you! Unfortunately though, we don't have space for all of our guests to bring a guest of their own. We ask that you respond simply for whomever is on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!

What if I forget something?

While there are several stores and restaurants in the area, please note that this is a rural venue and department stores are not what you'll find. You can still get to a grocery store or restaurant easily, but options are somewhat limited. If you're hoping to explore "downtown" expect to see most of it within a ten-minute walk!

What is there to do in the middle of nowhere?

We love this area for all that it has to offer outdoors! There are beautiful places to hike, walk, or wander and explore the historic villages. Check out the Things To Do page for more!
