On this day, I invited Zy to her favorite restaurant for a date. It was then that I discovered her profound love for chicken. Despite the variety on the menu, she chose only chicken. To this day, I believe she might just love chicken more than me.

In April, we chose Gulf Shores for our first vacation. There, we had fun at an amusement park, savored delicious meals at various restaurants, and my best friend and best man, Eli, met Zy for the first time. It was then that I began to understand the depth of my love for Zy.

This was the inaugural meeting between Leotis and my grandparents. They were thrilled to meet him, as he was the first gentleman I had introduced to them. My grandfather, in particular, was quite impressed with Leotis.

Our first date at the fair was memorable. It was the first time we rode the Ferris wheel. Leotis convinced me to try almost every ride, even those I never planned to ride. To this day, we haven't set foot on a roller coaster again.

Leotis and I decided to celebrate my birthday after Christmas, as I never had the chance to celebrate it before. We traveled to Destin, Florida for the first time together and had a wonderful time. On our final day, we wandered along the beach and etched our names into the sand.

Zy, her sister, a few friends, and I traveled to Florida for a five-day vacation to celebrate my future sister-in-law's graduation. It was the first time I met Koy, Kia, Zyon, and Zy's best friend, Jaylan. I can confidently say it was one of the best vacations I've ever had. Zy and I have gotten to know each other better, and I find myself marveling at my good fortune.

This night was the sneaker ball at the Nickson family reunion. I introduced Zy to my family members. My family was very accepting of her and treated her as if we were already married. Throughout the weekend, she had the opportunity to become acquainted with my family members.

Zy and I were invited to attend the wedding of my best man, Mike, in Memphis, Tennessee. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of witnessing two people unite in holy matrimony. I couldn't help but think, "We're next," and she doesn't even know it yet.

This occasion marked Leotis's first introduction to my family, giving him the opportunity to meet some of the most significant individuals in my life.We moved to a new town and bought a house together. Leotis no longer has to commute from our old place to his job every day; now, he lives just 7 minutes away from work. I can confidently say that this was the best decision we've made.

Zy and I decided to embark on an 8-day cruise to the Bahamas for Christmas. It was the first holiday we celebrated together. She had no idea that I planned to propose to her two days into our journey. In the days leading up to the proposal, I was incredibly anxious. I feared she would discover what I had planned for our engagement. Zy is quite intelligent, so keeping something like this a secret from her was quite challenging.

The big day! The one I had always dreamed of, finally arrived on my birthday. I had always wished to get engaged in a foreign country, and my fiancé made that dream come true. Leotis proposed to me in Nassau, Bahamas, on my birthday. It was a complete surprise—I had no clue!

Leotis, Jaylan, Eli, and I went to Panama, Florida for Leotis' birthday. We had an incredible time. Our adventures included the beach, go-karting (where I finished last), a rage room, and more.
