Things To Do

Sleeping Bear Dunes: Try your luck at the Dune Climb (Warning: You will NOT see the water when you summit the first peak) or drive right up to the Sleeping Bear Dunes Overlook for stunning views, steps from the car.

Winery Crawl: Often referred to as "The Napa Valley of the Midwest," Traverse City is known for its beautiful wine country. More information on our go-to wineries below.

Front Street Shopping: Explore all of the local shops. Our personal favorite spot is Cherry Republic – the cherry salsa is to die for!

The Beach: Clinch Park Beach is walkable from downtown making it the perfect relaxation spot.

The Mission Point Lighthouse: Take the scenic drive along Grand Traverse Bay up to the Northernmost point of the peninsula to find this stunning lighthouse lookout point.

Sara Hardy Farmers Market: Stroll through the local Farmer’s Market anytime between 7:30-12:00 on Saturday. From fresh flowers to local honeys & jams, this farmers market has it all.

Tart Trail: Hoping to get some miles in while you’re here? This is Ali’s go-to running path in TC.

Breakfast / Coffee Shops

Hexenbelle: If you’re looking for a cute café with a Palestinian twist, this is your spot. We recommend the Breakfast Pita & Vanilla Latte.

The Omelette Shoppe: A classic breakfast diner with multiple locations in TC. An excellent hangover cure.

Peace, Love and Little Donuts: Dozens of fun and unique mini donut options! From Salted Caramel Machiatto to Raspberry Truffle, this place has it all.

Lunch / Dinner

Bubba’s: The Shrek Burger is one of Aaron’s Top 5 burger’s he’s ever had. If you like meat, you will like this beautiful establishment.

Charles & Reid Detroit Pizza: A slice of home for Detroiters and an introduction to quality pizza for everyone else.

The Little Fleet: Energetic venue with several food trucks, live music, and outdoor seating.

Slabtown Burgers: We have not eaten here yet, but the ratings are too good for us to leave it off the list (a 4.8 with 2.7k reviews!?!?).

Desserts

Moomer’s Ice Cream: Can't decide on a flavor? Try out the ice cream flight. We are big fans of the “Cherries Moobilee” flavor.

Milk & Honey: Centrally located in TC, this parlor has made-to-order ice cream and creative cones that are all made with locally sourced products.

Grand Traverse Pie Company: TC is known for having great cherry pie. Don’t believe us? Try for yourself.

Wineries

Chateau Chantal: We love the patio here because it has gorgeous views of the East Harbor.

Mari Vineyards: Looking for an inside / outside option? This is the perfect spot. Come here for amazing views and even better wine.

Bower’s Harbor: Beautiful outdoor seating in the midst of the vineyard. Great spot for photos near the grapes themselves.

Breweries/Distilleries

Traverse City Whiskey Co: Get a flight of these locally distilled whiskey’s. The cherry edition is our favorite!

The Filling Station Microbrewery: Come here for beer & pizza in a decommissioned railroad station. Great outdoor seating!

Nightlife

North Bar: One of Ali's favorite spots in TC. It's a beautiful roof top bar with amazing cocktails, live music & classy decor.

The Pub: Located beneath North Bar, this establishment is known for live music (often Country) and chill vibes.

The Parlor TC: An eclectic craft cocktail bar with “Half Off Happy Hour” 4-6pm daily.
