Aaron and Clarissa met on a Zoom call with 3,000 miles between them. It was a work meeting where instead of doing a single minute of work, they hit it off immediately.

After the meeting ended, they picked up their conversation in Slack... then text... then to hours and hours of phone calls and FaceTimes.

Even though Aaron was in Atlanta and Clarissa was in California, something about it felt different for both of them. So they decided that they should meet to see if it worked IRL.

They decided to spend a long weekend in Joshua Tree National Park. From the minute Clarissa picked Aaron up from the LA airport, it was instantly easy and right.

Even when she got terribly sick a few days into the trip and had to shit on the side of the road in Joshua Tree when they were supposed to be star gazing.

About 4 weeks later, he met Clarissa's family on a trip to Denver. 6 months after that, he was on his way driving across the country to move from Atlanta to Santa Barbara.
