Thanks to my dad's love for the military, he unknowingly introduced his daughter to her future husband at the neighborhood gym.

During Christmas break in 2021, my dad and I went for a quick workout at our neighborhood gym. Just as we were about to leave, Nick and Ben walked in, dressed head-to-toe in Air Force soccer gear. As you all know, my dad couldn't resist introducing himself to the two young officers to hear their stories. For those of you who don't know him, this is no shocker—my dad's two favorite things are the military and Notre Dame football. As I walked over with him, I ended up in conversation with Nick. Right before we left, Nick yelled "Go Blue" and wished me good luck on the upcoming season. We spent the rest of Christmas break together before going our separate ways.

That winter, we started dating long-distance, spending 2 1/2 years apart until the summer of 2024, when I moved to Boston. Nick popped the question on May 3rd, 2024, and we have been loving exploring the New England area and doing this thing called life together!
