Like any good love story, ours started over machine guns, MREs, and the both of us smelling.... well, not our best. That’s right - we hit it off at a ROTC field exercise in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

We became fast friends and one day Joey sent me a text that said, “How do I cook a cube steak?” Clearly I had no idea so just told him to Google it.

Joey then offered to cook me a cube steak and the rest is history. Turns out…the text was actually meant for his mom…but he played it off well.

Since then, we’ve been nearly inseparable. We’ve had adventures riding horses, hiking in Washington, and coming up with creative ways to make long distance feel not so long.

We can’t imagine our lives without one another or cube steaks and are thrilled to finally make it official.

Thank you all so much for your support. Our time together is special, but our time with all of you will be the most memorable of all. Catch ya’ on the dance floor!
