Chris asked Abby to formal. Later that evening he asked her to go out with him on a date. She said no, she was moving to Texas.

After staying close friends for the spring semester, Abby realized just how much she was going to miss Chris. Abby called Chris up and asked him to take her out. This was our first date. Dinner downtown and sunset on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Perfect....well, until the car broke down.

Chris' first trip to visit Abby in Texas. The first of many! They saw Chris Stapleton in concert, drove down to Magnolia to visit Abby's family, and went country dancing.

Abby joined the Matney family for a week in Maine. A wonderful trip where she got to know the Matneys.

After eight trips of visiting each other in either TX or VA, and after hours upon hours of FaceTime calls, Chris made one more trip to Texas. Surprising her at what she thought was a work event in the Dallas Arboretum, Chris dropped to a knee and asked Abby to be his wife.
