Havely Ever After

In Fall of 2019, Abby started school as a freshman at Tennessee Tech University. She and Ethan met in October, at the TN Tech Baptist Collegiate Ministry. Little did either of them know, that in a couple short years, they would be happily engaged!

Ethan took his time to realize this, seeing as how they didn't start dating until December 31st of the same year. After many trips to Poet's coffee, Grandma's Pancake House, and long "study sessions" in the library, Ethan worked up the nerve to ask her to be his girlfriend. Similar to the proposal, she said yes!

They dated each other for 1 year and 8 months, and in that time, both of them prayed continuously, asking God if they were the one to marry. During those near 2 years, times were filled with joy, excitement, honesty, and blessed assurance. It didn't take long for Ethan to start saving for a ring, and both him and Abby to continue to pray without ceasing.

During the summer of 2021, Ethan went to Portland, Oregon, to pursue an internship opportunity. Abby stayed on the east coast, working at FUGE camps in Greeneville, South Carolina. While it was a mere 3 months apart, both of them indubitably knew they wanted to marry each other. When Ethan came home to Tennessee, he bought an engagement ring two days later. 3 weeks later, the two of them were headed towards marriage!

The time of dating and engagement has not always been easy, in fact, some days it proved to be the most challenging task before them. Be this as it may, they are confident that God is good, and will carry them through the hardships. Proverbs 3:5-6 says: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will direct your paths." With this in mind, the future will be one filled with joy and a lifetime of serving the Lord.
