Logistics
When should I expect to receive my invitation?
We are hoping to circulate invitations (online) to our guests by early 2025.
Once I receive my invitation, Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?
We invite you to RSVP online. No need to make a trip to the mailbox!
Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, please check out our Registry tab for options. A wedding card box will also be at our reception.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be indoors. Skip the umbrella!
What is the dress code for the wedding?
Black-tie optional (i.e. tuxedo, dark suit with dress pants and dark tie, floor-length evening gown, mid length cocktail dress). We would prefer our male guests to wear appropriate dress shoes. Please feel free to reach out with any specific questions.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
We love your children, but due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate guests under age 21 on our wedding day. We appreciate your understanding.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
If your invitation does not mention a plus one, it means we are excited to have just you join us!
Ceremony (Private)
We will be having an intimate ceremony with immediate family members only.
Where should I park?
Street parking is available for a small fee. However, we highly recommend taking an Uber, Lyft, or public transit as events planned in the area that day can disrupt the flow of traffic and/or parking options.
Am I allowed to take photos?
Please refrain from taking photos. We ask for an unplugged wedding ceremony. Thank you for understanding.
Do I need to wear a yarmulke or any traditional jewish clothing?
No, please dress as you would for the reception.
Reception
Where should I park?
We strongly recommend taking an Uber or Taxi to the venue on Saturday night, particularly as there may be other events in the area that cause congestion.
If you have to park, several hotels have valet parking options for the night (~$75); additionally, there are spots available on SpotHero within an auxiliary parking lot about a quarter of a mile from the venue (~$40).
What type of food will be served at the wedding?
We'll be serving heavy hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour, followed by food stations with several types of cuisine to choose from.
Will there be Kosher or Vegetarian food options available?
While we are having a Jewish wedding ceremony, neither us nor our families keep dietary restrictions, nor does Pearl Street Warehouse. If you have dietary restrictions please contact us and we can recommend other options in the area for you.
Will there be an open bar?
Of course!
What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after party?
It's a party! The reception will conclude at 12:00 a.m. There will be an after party until 2:00 a.m.
Late night snacks will be served.
Travel
What airport should I fly into?
Please see the "travel accommodations" tab for airport options in the area.
Can I take the AmTrak?
The train is a great option for those on the east coast. Please see amtrak.com for train times. Select "Washington, DC - Union Station (WAS)" for your destination. Union Station is approximately 2.8 miles from our venue and is a quick taxi ride away.
What neighborhood should I stay in?
The Wharf would be the most convenient area for most of our guests, as our reception will take place at this location. (Some of our family may prefer to stay in Penn Quarter, closest to our ceremony location, where we have also secured a room block.) The Wharf is a safe area. Please find hotel block information on the "Travel Accommodations" tab. We expect that the majority of our guests will stay in one of the three room blocks, all of which are within a 15 minute Uber of each other.
We recognize there may be more reasonable price options available elsewhere in the city, however we ask to please be cautious when booking a hotel as even half a mile can make a big difference in the District!
If you have any questions about the neighborhoods that would be most convenient, please feel free to reach out to Abby or Jake with any questions.
Questions or Concerns regarding travel
We understand that, particularly for those who haven't spent time in Washington D.C. before, it can be intimidating to plan a trip to the District! We encourage you to plan ahead and reach out to us as early as possible with any questions or concerns on how to make your weekend here as comfortable as possible.
