Banff National Park is why we are here! This has been on our bucket list for a long time so why not check it off in style! Banff is known for its stunning mountains, glacier lakes, and wildlife. There are many gorgeous hikes and sights to see
We were there during the polar vortex and it was still breathtaking! Lake Louise is stunning year round and a must see during your visit
If you are looking for a doable hike in Banff, Johnston Canyon is the place to go! This is one of the most popular hikes in the park. You get to walk over the water and through the rocks. There are three options for this hike: the lower falls, upper falls, and ink pots. You can hike to all of them if you wish, there are easy to follow signs along the way. We only went as far as the upper falls and it was stunning! (and easy to do!)
If you want to see the top of the mountains without making a hike, this is the way to do it! Once you make it to the top you can enjoy the view around the summit on their observation decks (there is more than one!) and if you wish there is a small hike over to Sanson's Peak on a boardwalk to continue to see the gorgeous mountain range. There are two restaurants, we went to the Sky Bistro and WOW.
*** We plan to do a group trip up there if you want to come! ***
Lake Minnewanka is in Banff National Park. There are pretty hiking trails and boat rides to enjoy the lake. Once there you are a short drive to other lakes. Also if there is a chance to see the northern lights, this is where our photographers recommended and it sure did not disappoint!
No description necessary. Cheers!
Super good Asian fusion restaurant in Banff! The restaurant is small, like 5 tables and a bar but it is worth it!
The Fairmont is known as the castle of Canada. The building is old and beautiful (and haunted)! You can stop in for food, drinks, a spa day, or just to explore the building. Or you can spend the night as this is a hotel!
We went for brunch and the food was amazing!
Who doesn't love some good bagels?! There are two restaurants! One is on the main street in Canmore and the other on one of the busier streets (the parking lot is super super small!).
This restaurant has stunning mountain views, good food, and beer. what more do we need to say?
