Important Updates

Due to unexpected circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel both the wedding shower and the Nepalese ceremony. Unfortunately, Nepal was added to the visa bond program in January, and Avi’s parents’ travel visa was denied as a result. This has been deeply disappointing for our family, as we were very much looking forward to uniting the families and celebrating together.

After much thought, we determined that it would not feel right to hold the wedding shower without Avi’s family present to share in such a meaningful occasion and to meet the many loved ones who have supported us.

For the same reason, we have chosen to postpone the Nepalese ceremony. Instead, we plan to celebrate our wedding with Avi’s family when we travel to Nepal in November. Although this is not the path we originally envisioned, we are grateful that we will still have the opportunity to honor this important tradition surrounded by family.

Although the Nepalese ceremony will not take place as originally planned, we will still incorporate Nepalese elements and aesthetics into our celebrations. Guests who wish to do so are warmly encouraged to wear traditional Nepalese attire or Indo-Western fusion outfits.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult time. Your love and support mean more to us than words can express, and we look forward to celebrating with you all.

With all our love and gratitude,

Avi & Lexi

Wedding Day

July 4, 2026
2:30 PM–11:30 PM
We kindly ask that guests dress in semi-formal attire to help make the day feel as special as it is. To maintain the spirit of the occasion, we ask that jeans not be worn to the ceremony. Portions of the celebration will take place outdoors and include some walking, so we recommend comfortable shoes you don’t mind wearing on grass or uneven paths. We understand that it may be warm, so guests are welcome to change into more comfortable clothing after dinner for the reception — we want everyone to feel relaxed and ready to dance the night away! We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing white, as it is taboo for Western culture and it symbolizes death in Nepalese culture. For those who wish to embrace the celebration by wearing traditional Nepalese attire or dressing with a fusion/Indo-Western style, we are touched and delighted by your interest. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have or offer guidance on what to wear! Please refer to the Nepali Attire page for more information.
