Important Updates

Due to unexpected circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to cancel both the wedding shower and the Nepalese ceremony. Unfortunately, Nepal was added to the visa bond program in January, and Avi’s parents’ travel visa was denied as a result. This has been deeply disappointing for our family, as we were very much looking forward to uniting the families and celebrating together. After much thought, we determined that it would not feel right to hold the wedding shower without Avi’s family present to share in such a meaningful occasion and to meet the many loved ones who have supported us. For the same reason, we have chosen to postpone the Nepalese ceremony. Instead, we plan to celebrate our wedding with Avi’s family when we travel to Nepal in November. Although this is not the path we originally envisioned, we are grateful that we will still have the opportunity to honor this important tradition surrounded by family. Although the Nepalese ceremony will not take place as originally planned, we will still incorporate Nepalese elements and aesthetics into our celebrations. Guests who wish to do so are warmly encouraged to wear traditional Nepalese attire or Indo-Western fusion outfits. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult time. Our Wedding

In early June 2023, Avi and Lexi matched on Hinge. After exchanging a few messages, life’s chaos led them both to delete the app, but fate clearly had other plans. One month later, they each rejoined Hinge, matched again, and this time, everything clicked. After a week and a half of messages (delayed slightly by Lexi’s trip home to Wisconsin and Avi’s time with family in Chicago), they met the day after Lexi’s birthday. Their first date at Monster Mini Golf set the tone for their relationship: fun, competitive, and full of laughter (Lexi won, for the record). Wanting more time together, they continued the evening with frozen yogurt at The Pink Walrus and drinks at The Vault Bar, where a six-hour conversation turned a simple date into something unforgettable. From that night on, Avi and Lexi were inseparable. They share a love for travel, adventure, and spontaneity, and they never miss a chance to try something new, often with their dog, Waffles, by their side. On July 18, 2025, exactly two years after their first date, they exchanged vows in a small civil ceremony in Utah for an intimate celebration surrounded by breathtaking mountains. Soon after, they traveled to Orlando for their honeymoon, where they soaked up the sunshine, explored the theme parks, watched a rocket launch, and reveled in the joy of their newlywed life. Now, they’re overjoyed to celebrate with all of their family and friends at their wedding celebration, an occasion that brings together everything they cherish most: love, laughter, and the people who mean the world to them. And the adventure doesn’t end there. Later this year, Avi and Lexi will travel to Nepal for a second honeymoon and family celebration, continuing the festivities with Avi’s loved ones and beginning their married life surrounded by the beauty of the Himalayas and the warmth of home. Some love stories happen by chance, but theirs always felt written in the stars. What began as a fateful “rematch” has grown into a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventure. They can’t wait to share the next chapter with you!

Our Story

We are so excited to celebrate with you at Camp Elsewhere. The venue offers a variety of on-site lodging options for our guests to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Camp Elsewhere provides cozy cabins, charming Shasta campers, and canvas tents for reservation. Each option offers a unique way to experience the natural beauty of the area while staying close to the festivities. Check in is 3:00 PM on July 3rd and check out is 11:00 AM on July 5th for all lodging options. Please note that all accommodations require a two-night reservation. Reservations for on-site lodging are limited, so we encourage you to book early! Things to Do

For those who wish to embrace the celebration by wearing traditional Nepalese attire or dressing with a fusion/Indo-Western style, we are touched and delighted by your interest. Dressing up is encouraged but completely optional—we want you to feel comfortable! To make this experience as welcoming and accessible as possible, we have organized a few collections to help facilitate the search for Nepalese attire. These include separate collections for clothing, dupattas (shawls), and jewelry. We tried to cover a range of style preferences and price points, since we do not want anyone to feel stressed or like they cannot participate should they desire to dress up. Our goal was to make dressing up feel fun and optional, never stressful or overwhelming. Please reach out if you have any questions or need any help. We would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have or offer guidance on what to wear!

This is a fun option for those who wish to achieve a fusion look by incorporating subtle Nepalese elements into a Western outfit!

These dupattas (shawls) can be worn over any dress or outfit to achieve the perfect fusion look!

Dupattas and/or jewelry are the easiest ways for guests to dress up, since they can wear their planned outfits for the Western ceremony and simply add the accessories for a touch of Nepalese flair.

There are several types of clothing options included in the collections:Sarees are long, elegant garments made from a single piece of fabric that is strategically draped around the body. They are beautiful; however, they tend to be more difficult to wear and may require assistance or practice.Lehengas are two-piece outfits that consist of a long skirt and a fitted top, and are frequently paired with a dupatta (shawl). There are some saree-style lehengas that create the appearance of a saree but are significantly easier to wear, as they do not require traditional draping. The difference between the saree-style lehenga and a traditional saree is that the saree-style lehenga has a pre-constructed waistband to help provide the comfort and convenience of a lehenga, while achieving the look of a traditional saree. Shararas are flowy, wide-legged pants that are paired with a long tunic-style top. This style provides a comfortable and elegant option that allows for easy movement.Anarkalis are long dresses with a fitted bodice and flowing skirt, and are almost always worn with dupattas. Anarkalis are nice because many styles have a more Western silhouette and can be worn to the Western ceremony, then transitioned seamlessly to the Nepalese ceremony by adding the dupatta (which is sold with the anarkali).
