Jermey is Jake's younger brother. They grew up inseparable and are still best friends to this day. Before Jake left for Michigan Tech, they finally had the opportunity to be teammates for their hometown team, the Trail Smoke Eaters. After a few years of professional hockey in Europe, Jermey is now back in the Kootnay's working in Human Resources.

Rudy is Abbie's oldest brother. If Rudy isn't busy with the twins, Jake can always count on him to be his drinking buddy and golf partner. Rudy is married to Dani and is the best father to their boys. He works as an assistant principal at Little Chute Elementary School. He is also the cross country coach at Little Chute High School.

Turner is also Abbie's brother. When Turner isn't out fighting crime and solving problems, he and Jake enjoy spending time together talking and watching sports. Turner is married to Carly and they live in Appleton. He works as a police officer in Appleton and is the head boy's basketball coach at Appleton East High School.

Jake and Scott grew up playing hockey together since the age of four. They were on the same hockey team every year until they went their separate ways to play college hockey. Scott is now coaching professional hockey for the South Carolina Stingrays.

Everyone has that one crazy friend, and Riley is that to Jake. The two grew up playing baseball and hockey together. Riley is now playing professional hockey in Wales for the Cardiff Devils.

Jake spent a lot of time playing shinny (street hockey) and mini-sticks at Craig's house growing up. The two were competitive and things would always get heated. Craig continues to pursue his professional hockey career for the Jacksonville Iceman.

Jake "Jacko" was Jake's college roommate. After four years of living together at Michigan Tech, they continue to have a strong friendship and support for one another. Jake is back in his home state of Minnesota living with his wife and working as a logistics specialist.

Being from Nelson, Jake and Dryden were enemies on the ice growing up. The two then joined teams and became very close friends. They have continued their close friendship to this day. Dryden lives in Calgary with his wife and plays professional hockey for the Calgary Flames.

Jake and Dallas grew up playing baseball and hockey together. When Jakes returns to Trail, Dal is always one of his first calls to hangout. Dallas owns Elevate Athletics and is an assistant coach for the Trail Smoke Eaters.

Adam is one of Jake's oldest friends. They grew up in Warfield together building ski and bike jumps in Jake's backyard. They also enjoyed dirt biking at Adam's house. Adam lives in Trail with his wife and works as a refrigeration technician. He and his wife, Nicole, just welcomed sweet baby Weston into their lives on June 15.

Ross is Jake's youngest cousin. The two love catching up during hockey season and Jake enjoys beating Ross in golf during the offseason. Ross plays professional hockey for the Savannah Ghost Pirates in Georgia.

Dani is Abbie's sister-in-law. Abbie has looked up to Dani since she and Rudy began their relationship in 2009. The two enjoy running together, going on walks, and sharing recipes. Dani works as a full-time mom taking care of their adorable twin boys.

Carly is also Abbie's sister-in-law. Abbie always appreciates Carly's wise advice and kind personality. The two bond over their love for Boomer (their Springer Spaniel) and enjoy spending time together outdoors. Carly is Turner's better half and works as an Assistant Accounting Manager for US AutoForce in Appleton.

Michelle and Abbie were college teammates at Michigan Tech for five years. They both moved to Madison for graduate school and have been living there since. They love to play pickleball and enjoy exploring Madison together. The two are a hilarious pair and always have fun together. Michelle works as a Physical Therapist in Edgerton.

Courtney was Abbie's roommate at Michigan Tech. Abbie and Courtney enjoyed several parties at 405 Dodge, working together at the local nursing home, and supporting each other in their respective college sports. Courtney now lives in Green Bay and works in medical device sales.

Mariel was also Abbie's roommate at Michigan Tech. When Mariel wasn't on the volleyball court, the two enjoyed several late nights together in Houghton, tanning at the beach, and getting food at 5th and Elm. Mariel is a mother to her beautiful baby girl Summer and also works in medical device sales in Sheboygan.

Megan is Abbie's oldest childhood friend. The two instantly bonded when Abbie moved to Little Chute in fourth grade. They ran cross country and track together in high school and enjoy catching up over several hour FaceTime chats. Megan is currently pursuing her Master's of Nursing at Marquette University.

Cam is Jeremy's girlfriend. The first time Abbie met Cam it had felt like they had known each other forever. The two enjoy spending time at the lake and wake surfing on the boat during the summer. Cam works as a teacher librarian in Fruitvale, British Columbia.

Jill is Jake's cousin. After the first time Abbie met Jill, she not only appreciated how tall she was but also how similar the two are. Their relationship has continued to grow over the years and Abbie always looks forward to spending time with Jill when visiting Canada. Jill works for Penticton School District in British Columbia.
