We first met in 2013 at church, not knowing that a simple friendship would turn into something so special.

Over the next few years, we grew closer, even as life took us in different directions. At one point, one of us was dating someone else (who happened to be a friend of Abby’s), but even when that chapter ended, our friendship remained.

A church project brought us back together, and somewhere along the way, our bond deepened. When Abby invited me to be her date to her matric farewell, it felt like an important moment—one that we’d look back on for years to come. It was a night filled with laughter, memories, and something unspoken between us.

But like all good stories, ours had a few bumps along the way. Misunderstandings led to a brief time apart, and for a while, we lost touch. Then, one day, Abby reached out, sharing the photos from that night.

Seeing her again just felt right, like everything had fallen back into place.

Since then, we’ve been inseparable. Our story isn’t perfect, but it’s ours—filled with friendship, love, and plenty of laughter.

Now, we’re so excited to take the next step and start this new chapter together.
