How Abigail tells it

I remember first seeing Tristan walking into our high school one day, when I was a sophomore. I started noticing him more and more around the school and became instantly obsessed. There were multiple occasions when I told my friends how I thought he was the hottest guy ever! Flash forward a few weeks, I’m walking to class after lunch, again telling a friend how I thought he was the best looking kid in school, when she ran up and told him! As I ran away I heard his friend Stephen ask who I was and I think that started it all. Come summer before junior year I was still obsessed with him and was able to conveniently find and switch into precalculus class with him. Naturally, I dressed cute every day until he eventually asked me if I could help him study for the next test (my plan was working). When I left his house, and he did not make a move, I was thinking it was time to maybe move on. Apparently he thought it went well because next Monday he asked me out on a real date and it's been perfect from there. So perfect, I even showed mom a picture and said “this is my future husband.” What started as a very cringy high school crush, has turned into meeting the absolute Love of my life, my rock, and my best friend. I have known he has been the one since my sophomore year and that has not changed since.

HOW TRISTAN TELLS IT

The first time I saw Abigail, I was a junior at Hardin Valley. I was walking through the hallway with my friend, Stephen, and a girl came up to us. She looked right at me, pointing behind her and said “my friend Abigail thinks you are really cute!” When I think back to that moment, I laugh as I remember looking toward where Abigail was standing, and seeing her ponytail flying through the air as she ran away. The summer passed and at the start of my senior year, I saw Abigail walk into my math class. At the time, I had no idea that my future wife had just walked into the room, but I did know that she was beautiful and that I had to get to know her. She would consistently do well on all of our assignments and the way she confidently raised her hand to answer questions made me realize how intelligent she was. About a month into the school year passed when I asked her out on a first date, and the rest is history! Almost 6 years later I get to marry the love of my life, and it feels like a dream come true. I truly am the luckiest man in the world!
