The oldest Shackelford kid, the head of all the grandkids and lives life like she owns it. (And she does) Victoria & I are best friends but only since Victoria moved out of the house for college. She is the wittiest, snarkiest, best person I know. I couldn't think of a better maid of honor, even though she told me she had to be.
If seen at wedding, conversations may include: her dog Sadie, where she likes to take walks with Sadie, her dreams about living in a small cottage with Sadie, Sadie, and a good beer.
Caleb Damron - Best Man
My best man. I’ve known this kid for the better part of 21 years. Not only is he my best man and brother, but also my best friend. It’s pretty special when you get all of that in one person. I have learned so much from Caleb, and made countless memories together. One of my favorites of us has to be playing lacrosse together in high school. Conversations with Caleb may include the fact that he is slightly taller than Tristan (still unconfirmed), the 350z, Hilton Head Island, and the Green Bay Packers.
Taylor Windle - Bridesmaid
Taylor and I met freshman year at UTC, when they became sorority "twins" and realized they lived down the hall from each other! We have been inseparable ever since. We have lived together for three years and have shared many laughs, memories, sweet treat runs, and even survived a flea infestation together.
If seen at wedding, conversations may include:
her golf career, Jesus, the different types of coffee she can make, and her future goals of moving to Colorado.
Stephen Ericson - Groomsman
I met Stephen in the 9th grade at Hardin Valley. We have always had very similar interests, and immediately became close. Stephen and I have hiked mountains together, played various sports, and had countless adventures. We were an elite duo on the basketball court for a time as well. Fun fact, Stephen was around during Abigail and I’s early days, and has seen our relationship grow so much over the years. Conversations with Stephen may include Tristan and Stephen Vlogs (trademark coming soon), hiking, his dog Chewy, and his Madden record against Tristan.
Amelya Monast - Bridesmaid
Amelya and I met freshman year in a microbiology class, both pre- nursing DZs, and both completely clueless as to what was going on. This quickly became a fast & fierce friendship that has lasted all through college. We lived together in the DZ house and have been through many late night study sessions. Amelya is strong (both physically and mentally) and is the most loyal friend to have.
If seen at wedding, conversations may include: Crazy ER stories, her impressive ability to insert an IV, how Abigail sleep talks or her new pickle ball obsession.
Logan Culbert - Groomsman
Logan and I originally met in the 2nd grade when we both lived in Virginia. I moved to Tennessee in 8th grade, and we have stayed in touch ever since. Although we don’t see each other as much as we used to, we always pick up right where we left off. Logan and I are fans of the University of Virginia lacrosse team, and have been to a few games in person together. One of my favorite memories with Logan was a trip we took down to Key West, FL, with our families. Conversations with Logan may include air traffic control, his cats, lacrosse, and Halloween.
Abby Price - Bridesmaid
Abby and Abigail, I know its confusing, We first met in 7th grade at a mutual friend's birthday party and instantly clicked. We were very close in middle school and then reconnected in college and have become close again. Abby loves the Lord and has helped both I and all those around her, grow in their walk with of faith. She is the type of friend that everyone needs, for both the sunny and rainy days of your life.
If seen at wedding, conversations may include: her love for cheese, how she thought Abigail didn’t have a middle name (for 4 years), her husband Josh, talking about how she chose to be friends with Abigails ex boyfriend in 6th grade over her (he had a pool)!
Colter Testa - Groomsman
Colter and I originally met in the 8th grade during our time at Farragut Middle School. Colter was the first friend I made in Tennessee, and we instantly bonded over a game of madden. After 10th grade, Colter moved out to Dallas TX, and has been there ever since. We have stayed in touch and Colter has continued to be one of my closest buddies. Although he moved away around 7 years ago, we have met halfway in Memphis many times. Colter celebrated the birth of his daughter, Amara, in September 2022. Conversations with Colter may include Amara, cars, the Denver Broncos, and his love for the city of Memphis.
Lindsay Adkison - Bridesmaid
Lindsay and I were introduced our junior year of college by our now Husband and Fiancé. I instantly liked her. Lindsay lights up every room she walks into with her outfit and smile. She is as beautiful inside as outside, and despite how new the friendship is, it has been exactly what I needed.
if seen at wedding, conversations may include: her dog Sadie (different than Victoria’s Sadie), her honeymoon she just got back from, newly wed life, her love for watching basketball and making tiktoks.
Lathan Porch - Groomsman
I first met Lathan at the University of Tennessee in our business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. We connected over our love of sports and both of our girlfriends became good friends. When I first saw Lathan, I remember thinking that this is a guy I want to become friends with, and now we are in each other’s wedding. Conversations with Lathan may include his new bride Lindsay, sports, the Volunteers, and the boating/jet ski incident that he and Tristan encountered one summer.
Helena Horsley - Bridesmaid
Helena was my first friend at utc when we met playing a card game on the West Campus field. Helena is the life of the party and makes best friends wherever she goes. She is a fashion icon, a true friend, and someone that will always be willing to hang out. If seen at wedding, conversations may include: Her impressive shoe collection, what type of shoe are you? She is a pump. If you don't know Helena will tell you what type of shoe/personality you are.
Joey Shackelford - Groomsmen
Joey and I actually met in high school, shortly after Abigail and I started dating. As Abigail’s brother, I’ve been able to hangout with Joey quite a bit over the years and feel like I’ve gotten to see Joey grow up into the great man he is today. I’ve always enjoyed our spring break trips to Florida, where Joey always reminds me that he is the king of fishing. Conversations with Joey may include cars, guns, Mcdougal, Arkansas, guns, duck hunting, and guns.
Blakely Rich - Flower Girl
I have watched Blakey and her brother Jackson for a few years while I was at UTC. It was actually very random that I met their mom Laura but the lord knew what I was needing and provided. Laura and these kiddos have been such a sweet addition to my time at UTC and I wouldn't have it any other way! I've been watching Blakey since she was teetering, and getting to see her (hopefully) walk down the aisle will be the sweetest thing.
Amara - Flower Girl
Amara is the cutest baby in the state of Texas! Tristan and Colter, her dad, have been friends since high school. She was also the first baby Tristan ever held! It is so special to have such a close friend's kiddo as one of our sweet flower girls. Both tristan and I are very excited to see her (hopefully) make it down the aisle!
