We met in 2016 during move-in week at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. It was the start of our freshmen year of college. We both lived in Helser Hall which is where it all began.

Helser Hall had no air conditioning, terribly small dorm rooms, and a lingering musty smell that stayed on your clothes for days. We quickly became acquainted through shared conversation regarding our similarities and differences. We were both from northeast Iowa, we were attending Iowa State, we lived in the same dorm, and thats all it took.

We started spending more time together as we helped one another navigate this new chapter of college. We became close friends and created many memories together. College was hard, but having a reliable friend made everything better. Mitch taught Abby to slow down and gave her confidence in her abilities. Abby taught Mitch to push through the tough times and to avoid giving up.

Fast-forward a few years and Mitch and Abby find themselves wondering about a future as more than just friends. They truly cared about one another and knew each others passions, secrets, stories, and dreams.

Six years, three big moves, two states, two cats and several memories later we are elated to share our special day with all our friends and family. This next chapter of our lives is our biggest and most rewarding yet. We will support each other like we always have, no matter the circumstances. Our story deserves celebrating and we look forward to sharing the moment with all of you.
