When Abby was growing up in the area she loved going to the trout hatchery in Decorah. There is a spring fed creek, a waterfall, bald eagles, and tons of fingerlings to feed. And, the hatchery is totally free (with the exception of a few quarters for fish food). I would highly recommend this place for kids and adults alike.

PIVO brewery is a hidden gem tucked away in Calmar, Iowa. The beer is outstanding and the atmosphere is serenity. Check out some of the items that may have been created with honey from Abby's uncle!
