Enjoy a walk or bike ride around the 1,001 acre park. A beautiful seawall view, easy for all ages. Along the way, feel free to venture to the Totem Poles, the Vancouver Aquarium, or the Stanley Park Brewery. The best place to rent a bike is at Spoke Bike Rentals on Denman and W Georgia Street. Along the way, feel free to stop at any of the beaches; English Bay (first beach), Second Beach (outdoor pool), or Third Beach! The walk usually takes 3 hours to walk, or under 1 hour to cycle.
A very wholesome day! More than 50,000 living creatures—from sharks to sea otters to sea stars—the largest aquarium in Canada. As well as marine life exhibits, the aquarium also stages shows, feedings, animal encounters, and trainer talks.
Enjoy tea time at this quant teahouse located at Third Beach, in Stanley Park!
Only a 10 minute walk from Adam and Naomi's flat and located beneath the Granville Street Bridge, Granville Island is a unique and artistic community, centralized around the Granville Island Public Market, various art galleries, local shops, comedy clubs and restaurants. Enjoy an Around the World beer flight at Granville Island Brewery! Or a classy gin cocktail at The Liberty Distillery! Explore the market, with 50+ vendors and loads of food choices; be sure to grab a Nanaimo Bar from Northern Bars and/or a donut from Lucky's Donuts! You can access it by walking, or taking an adorable False Creek Ferry from English Bay. This is a fantastic place to spend the day.
False Creek is a beautiful harbor walk that passes through Granville Island and wraps all the way around to English Bay. Adam and Naomi spend a lot of their time walking along False Creek; stopping at Mahoney's pub for a pint along the way. Further up, you can stop in Olympic Village and have a wonderful meal at Tap & Barrell or Craft!
A really fun day out activity! Walk across the long main feature; the suspension bridge. Find your way to the other side, which has mountain-side bridges and treetop walkways, just like the Ewoks in Star Wars. There's also a lovely souvenir shop and restaurant. Try a beavertail! Entry tickets are $66.95 CAD.
While you're here, why not swing by the majestic BC Place for a night out to see the local football heroes, the Vancouver Whitecaps! Beer is only $5, tickets $30 - who knows, you may even see Lionel Messi (you won't)!!!
Visit Nat Bailey stadium for a good ol' game of local baseball! While the game goes on, enjoy a lemonade with a yard-dog (it's literally a yard long hotdog, it's hilarious).
Gastown should be experienced for it's character and great choice in restaurants. The famous Steamclock chimes every 15 minutes, but has a longer, more worthwhile tune on the hour, every hour. Gastown is completely walkable and a good place for a lunch!
If you're up for an adventure, take a 1.5 hour BC Ferry to Victoria; our province's capital! Definitely worth going for more than one day. Enjoy the seaside town; walk through Chinatown, visit the Parliament buildings, explore the wonderful BC museum, take a change at the Malahat Skywalk, wander through the Butchart Gardens, or even go whale watching!
Whistler is the highlight of anyone's Vancouver visits. Located just a 2.5 hour drive north of the city (accessible via car/bus), enjoy a picturesque mountain city, full of life and outdoor activities. Although it is not skiing season when you visit, there are plenty of things to still do. Be sure to take the gondola up the mountain to the Blackcomb Skyview walk, cycling and walking trails; the view alone is worth the trip up! Enjoy a meal in the many restaurants in town, or visit the Scandanav Spa for some R&R!
Only 1 hour out of Vancouver and on the way to Whistler, this park is a must for pit-stops! Blue waters and beautiful views, can't ask for anything more.
