We are thrilled to invite you to our wedding in our favorite place, Western Maine. We recognize traveling to rural Maine in August may not be feasible for many, and we completely understand if you cannot make it. For those who can, see you in Maine!

By car, the Lakes Region is about an hour from Portland, an hour and a half from Kennebunk, three hours from Boston, six hours from NYC, and a painful twelve hours from DC (as we know too well). If you're not familiar with the backroads of Maine, you may want to consider staying on I-95 to Portland and then taking Route 302 to Bridgton.
It is not uncommon to see wildlife in the road, particularly around dusk, so please do be careful and stay safe!
We recommend flying into the Portland International Jetport (1 hour from venue). Other options are the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (2 hours from venue) and Boston Logan (3 hours from venue).
Regardless of the airport, a car will be needed to get to your hotel. If you want to connect with others renting a car, please reach out, and we can try to link you up with some other guests. We are planning to offer buses to/ from the venue from several local inns.
If you want to fly into Portland, we strongly encourage you to book very early, as flight prices are reasonable most of the year but skyrocket come late spring. Southwest usually has a lot of options from BWI and LaGuardia, along with flexible change and cancellation policies. If you cannot book early, you may want to consider flying into Boston Logan instead.
The Welcome Party will be held at our family home at 185 Moose Pond Road, Denmark, ME. Moose Pond Road is off of Route 117. Our house is .9 miles down the road on the right, and there is a Gault/ Donnelly sign at the top of the driveway. Please drive slowly on Moose Pond Road, as wildlife abounds.
PARKING INSTRUCTIONS (PLEASE READ): Our house is .9 miles down Moose Pond Road (also known as Moose Pond Shores Road on some GPS) on the right side. There is a small Gault/ Donnelly sign at the top of the driveway. We realize most folks are coming straight to the house on their way north, but, to the extent you are able to carpool/ arrive in fewer cars, that would certainly be helpful. While we have a large driveway, the paved portion needs to remain clear for the pizza truck. For those arriving on the early side, we would ask that you try to park on one side on the dirt road portion of our driveway (make a left after you turn into the driveway). We will try to have someone outside to direct cars for the first 30-45 minutes. If the driveway looks full, please park on the side of Moose Pond Road opposite our house/ opposite the lake, and please park "efficiently"/ aka compactly like you are in Hoboken/ on Capitol Hill on the stretch of road with a flat shoulder. Please steer clear of neighbors' driveways. See (poorly done) map below!
If you are taking a bus, we will update the website with pickup times. The buses will also make trips back to the inns after the reception and after the afterparty.
You are also welcome to drive to the venue from your lodging if you prefer. There is plenty of parking. To reach the venue, look for a sign on the main road. You will then turn onto a dirt road, Old Saco Lane, and drive down it until you reach the Old Saco Inn. Turn right towards the barn for the parking lot. If you need assistance getting to the ceremony site, please let the staff know. They are happy to help those needing extra assistance.
The Songo River Queen II is docked right next to the causeway on Route 302 in Naples, Maine. It is a large white and red paddle wheeler and should be hard to miss! You can put 841 Roosevelt Trail, Naples, Maine into your GPS. There is usually ample parking on the street, but there is also a lot open to the public at Cornerstone Church, located at the corner of 302 and 114. Turn right onto 114 from 302 (if coming from the north), and the parking lot will be on your right.
